At first i used the screen but the temperatures fluctuate more with a screen top. Now i use the ones with the holes and the temps are much more steady and still no condensation. Granted i live in the adirondacks so my temperature changes might be a little more drastic from day to day since the weather is awful here most of the time. But we've been having 95% relative humidity outside and between 60-75% in the house. I didnt have an condensation except once right by his water dish when i moved his aspen bedding out of the way and put it directly on the bottom of the tub where the heat pad is right underneath.
so ur saying that i shoud make like half of his thing screen and the other half holes? that would be perfect. and the Ball python will be fine as long as theres no condensation dripping from the sides?
