Just luck of the draw. I have 3 snakes that have that yellow stomach and high yellow sides. The one in the pic is het for pied, but does not have any pied markers.

The first 3 pictures are of an '07 captive hatched YB male. The next 2 pics are of an '08 captive hatched YB female, and the last is of an '06 captive bred YB male.

that 08 female looks just like a black pastel. i was looking for any bp that looked like her. i was going thru every single breeder i could think of just to see one like it and she is OUTSTANDING

Wicked pics Louis!
I have a male that looks alot like your little female, and it makes it hard to see what a 'normal' YB looks like, but your point about the lack of white borders is bang on. I hadn't noticed that before but now that you mention it I think YBs aren't going to be a head scratcher anymore.

Well, to muck it up a bit, here is one of my Yellowbellies.

They CAN have speckled bellies, but it is not the norm.
