I was told a myth by a friend. If you open your mouth, it (pee) will never land on your face

I have to agree with rapture i dont really have any problems popping no urates squirting here i think with alot of pratice this doesnt happen as much. I also think the ralph davis videos really helped me out. the One think i can say really work for me is put one tumb close to the cloaca and the other tumb about half way down the tail and roll toward the cloaca dont push from the digestive track and squirt feces the hemipenes are inverted in the base of the tail. Maybe this will help with the golden showers

Sounds like me and rat cleaning; no matter how hard you try to stay clean, you are just gonna get rat turds (fresh, warm and squishy) under your fingernails.

That's why there's soap and hot water!

Umm... are you building rat castles in there or something? I can honestly say I have never gotten rat poo under my fingernails... I hardly get dirty at all on cleaning day!

I can only pop babies. I have to probe them once they're like 300g+, and I still get nervous when I probe.
What are these mojavas I keep hearing so much about?

And thats $40/per snake.... I need to grow some nads lol
Same here, I know I'm going to just have to get over it but I get really anxious about hurting the snake or causing permanent damage. I had asked my vet to show me how to pop, but he said he doesn't pop because of the risks. I know when done right there isn't much risk but I didn't press the issue with him.

This may not be the same but I was so nervous about popping young Children's pythons when I started. I kept thinking I was going to apply to much pressure and "break" something!

Oh, I hear you there! I take my rings off for cleaning for that reason also.
I think that I'll just try the popping thing again.. but just aim it at someone other than myself?
