got to love it when they give you a perfect shed. It rare that he will do it when we are watching.

I have never caught a snake in the act. I almost always get a perfect shed but by the time I get to it, it's already balled up and sitting right outside a hide. It's almost like they are taking out the trash and I'm the garbage man. Thanks for sharing the picture

The first time I found a shed ball, I noticed it out of the corner of my eye as I was walking by the enclosure. My first thought was "oh crap, he regurgitated" . I did notice that it's just my bp's that do it so maybe that's another reason they are called "ball" pythons

I’ve been lucky once to witness Bubbles in literal mid-shed loved watching him with my hubby. We were fascinated by how he was using his tree and enclosures to pull the shed off

Before if I seen him in the middle of the night doing it I would try to watch. But he would always see me and stop what he was doing.
Basically it's a nice easy clean up when it's in a big ball. Some of my guys will tear them to bits if I don't take then out right away.

Yes they are normally very shy about it. My wife and I were watching a movie and she noticed him giving a great big yawn and rubbing his face on the bedding and log. It's interesting to see them slithering out of the old skin.
