Good luck with that from now own I'll just post pictures since experience means nothing, I'll live it to the expert......works for me. (no wonder no knowledgeable breeder wants to post here anymore)
Wow. That’s it huh? When it comes to snakes, I just disagree with the whole “it must be a small enclosure thing.” That’s all. This is a forum for sharing, discussion and opinions.
I will just shut up then.

Breathe deep, let other people have their opinions, and stick with Deborah’s advice. She’s bred and raised a *lot* of babies.

thank you for the offer, i just don’t understand why people decide to get hostile over simple opinions. ill still probably take you up on that offer simply because sometimes theres more urgent things that i cant wait 3-4 hours for someone to answer yanno?

It's not personal. We had recently a very confrontational user that caused a lot of people on edge and taxed our moderators. Sorry it's bleeding into your thread but this is not typical of this forum so please don't get discouraged, this is still the best place for help ;D

i hope you feel better! that's the risk of open forum, but this is also how we learn and confront new ideas. i'm available for PM too if you need, but SDA has shown to be a great member here.

Keep in mind:
1- we are a world wide site
2- many have real jobs to be at during the day
3- many MANY members here are breeders and have already dealt with many of the things you will over complicate and worry about.
4- many other members here have little to no experience but are good at regurgitating stuff they read or were told
5- what works in my house may not work in yours but you wont ever know if you dont listen to what you read.
6- and last..... Nothing here is personal and many dont care how you will feel about the answer to your question. Your animals health is always the first concern.

I was just literally asking questions... like the above, Deborah you are clearly experienced, so I asked you a direct question. I am sorry if this is not allowed. It seemed to me the OPs enclosure looked adequate. It seems I was wrong, but nobody clarified yet as to why the size is not good.
I am aware I am not experienced with hognose, so I am asking a question just like the OP.
also, “very limited experience with 1-3 snakes” is not accurate. It is fully accurate that I don’t have any breeding experience, and I haven’t kept 500 snakes for 39 years.
i have been keeping ball pythons for over 2 years, and I have had a total of 8 different snakes at different times, as I bought a whole collection from a hobbyist and sold most of them off.
that makes me a neophyte I suppose, but that is why I have been asking questions and researching since 2016, mostly right here in the forum,
just today, I started two threads asking questions to more experienced members to answer, which they did.
I have never claimed to “know it all.” Not even close.
anyway, I will refrain giving any advice about hognose, as it is not my experience.
...though I would still like to now why the OPs enclosure is too big.
