Do all Bps fast in the winter?

I fed Jeffree last night and he was still just as eager as ever to eat he actually took the rat in his hide and ate it in there. Is it normal he's still eating?

even though beeps are notorious for not eating, the fact Jeffree is still eating is 100% normal. males are typically the only ones who fast in winter, and it usually starts once they reach sexual maturity as their minds are focused on reproducing.

I don't 100% know Jeffrees gender I go with male because that's typically what you get from pet stores. And awww good I don't want my baby to grow up too fast!!

They sure don't. Conditions play a role in if they go into a fast. Mine is eating this year like a pig so much so I have to restrict his diet.

On a funny side note, this winter, Dante has taken up play hunting me. Just last night he wagged his tail like crazy and was stalking me while I was sitting in front of his enclosure. It was so hilarious watching him only move forward when I was not looking and shaking his booty like crazy.

when it comes to beeps there's also "the wall" they seem to hit once they reach a certain weight and will stop eating for a bit. for females it's around ~1000g, and for males it varies but Yellow definitely slowed down once he hit ~700g.

of course these are just theories that i've read and seen talked about over the years. nothing is ever set in stone when it comes to animals lol.

Ha SDA! It’s funny that he was so mad! The tail wagging is a defense mechanism, so he was obviously perceiving you as a giant predator.

He is mad because I am only feeding him every other week this winter and he wants to eat me.
