How Do You Guys feel About Scaless Snakes?

I think they look odd, but from what I could find it doesn't seem to affect them all that much. They don't seem any more fragile or needy than their scaled counterparts. They seem undeserving of the hate they get. Would it even matter if they were more fragile, they aren't in the wild they won't be picked off or attacked by something. And even then they have been found in the wild. But that's just my two cents.

i love 'em; i just want to freakin' hold one!!! i was originally in the "OMG NO CRUEL" category, but as i learned more about them i came around. everything i've read has concluded they need only a bit more humidity, but that's it. i'd really like to get a scaleless corn snake eventually, or even a scaleless beep (though corn snake is actually financially feasible ).
that picture isn't a fair representation; we all look ugly as babies!!!

Are they interesting? Sure!
Do I personally like them? Nope
One of the reasons I like reptiles (and fish) is because of their neat scaley texture, so I'm simply not a fan of how scaleless (partial, full, micro, etc) look.

Re: How Do You Guys feel About Scaless Snakes?
Had a chance to hold an adult male scaleless corn recently. Very cool. They feel "unique" and "different" and their patterns are also very distinct. Very soft.
I had room for one more reptile and was deciding between a scaleless corn and a BCI. Went with a BCI because of the challenge and it was something different. Already have a corn and a BP.
I think some people don't like them because snakes are supposed to have scales and they would not survive in nature. The first argument is purely preference and the second one, well, 90% of morphs wouldn't occur or survive in nature.
I think it's interesting where the breeders are taking the genetics and personally think scaleless snakes are very cool as pets.

Re: How Do You Guys feel About Scaless Snakes?
I for one don't understand all the hate that seems to surround scaleless animals......
YEAH, it's probably not an animal that would survive in the wild very long or at all, but then again..... would your BEL ball python survive in the wild given it's coloring? Probably not. It's never really been the intention of private breeders to produce animals that are designated for the wild anyways. It goes the same way for dogs.....English Bulldogs are not a canine that was bred for outdoor conditions either.
I think scaleless is an EXCITING, and revolutionary trait that is ready to take the ball python and cornsnake world by storm. It is THEE future in my opinion.

Texas ratsnakes and cornsnakes have been around long enough that it is well known that there is no issue with them, so why not? it's really no different than having a mutations.
This particular animal posted is not the most appealing but normal scaleless texas ratsnakes look amazing so do corns and the way they feel is interesting. I think in this case the color, the bug eyes and the fact that he is young and skinny animal just make it look bad, sadly the bug eyes won't look better the rest however might.
I like scaleless snakes (probably getting a scaleless rat next year) but I like weird thing such as hairless animals too.
Now when it comes to BP we are starting to see better looking individual, the first two ever produced where not very attractive or at least the picture of them circulating where not.
I still think some scaleless BP will be interesting (depending on the direction people go, I believe the key is pattern not color)......can't wait to see a big 3000 grams Scaleless Pied one day.

Personally I like them as much as hairless cats (as in I don't) but since these will not be reintroduced to the wild and the mutation causes no health issues, I fail to see the problem. If, like me you do not like hairless/scaleless animals, don't buy one.
