New BP owner and set up..any suggestions welcomed
So I'm new to owning a BP I had a Western diamond back for a couple months and decided to get something I could have out and handle without being worried about being envenomated. I've named him Zazu. Thermostat and humidity controller are mounted the wall, UTH is under the castle, cemic light on left to keep his terrarium warm otherwise temps get below 75 degrees and I was having a bit of difficulty keeping the humidity up even with the fogger they would drop quickly so I added a waterfall. Also there's plexi glass ontop covering the screen openings on all but the back side where the heat lamp is. The light is a
Finnex Planted+ 24/7 SE in case I decide to go with a bio active set up and the light acts exactly like the sun dimming, brightening up and turning off mimicking the sun.

welcome to the forum!!! you have a lovely setup! my only advice would be that your bby will outgrow that castle hide very quickly, so i'd be worried about the snake getting stuck. what kind of hide are you using on the cool side?
also, how are you measuring your temps/ humidity? you mentioned humidity issues; what you use to measure stuff is important.

Thank you for the kind compliment! Yea, defiantly I will take it out when he does or possibly enlarge the holes, that's his favorite hide. I have a habba hut on his cool side. He also has the zoo med 3-1 in the corner in front of the castle. For temperate I have a zoo med digital tem/humidity on the cool side and the single temp gauge from them as well on the hot side. Also I have a accurite (I think that's how it's spelled in the middle of the terrarium and the digital ink bird humidity controller that turns on his fogger and that's placed on the hot side and turns on when it reaches 58%.

It is his favorite his currently, because he is small and they like tight hides. As he grows a "tight" hide will continue to get larger and larger as he grows. Just so you are ready, it is good to switch hides to match growth. I like to think of Royal Pythons like hermit crabs, they need larger "shells" as they grows.

Yea I'll upgrade him later I just have read they like to be nice and tight wherever they are so they feel more secure and bring down their stress levels so I gave him plenty of spots to hide in..there used to be another two places but he keeps sticking to one so I gave him more room and removed some.
Those are great ideas! If I can't keep my temperatures and humidity at the constant safe numbers I may have to copy some of these methods of yours! By the way what website did you use to host your pictures on here I can't use Photobucket any more because I have a ton of pictures hosted to other forums from my motorcycle and gun builds so they want me to upgrade and block my posted pictures with their ad.
