According to OWAL, the cinnys and the black pastels are known for duckbill and kinking only in the super form. I saw a panda pied hatchling that had a 90 degree kink an inch behind the head. It is the animal that convinced me I would just never go there. I hatched a single badly kinked baby this year that needed to be put down and that was a breeding that was "safe". I hate to have to put animals down so to knowingly make a pairing that is known for a high deformity rate is just not my cup of tea.
Honest, I only need one more ...

MAJOR kinking, which is in inevitable with this pairing. the fact that there are baby beeps without kinking or duck-billing (another common defect) is quite a feat.

i always appreciate your input, always. i know the fact there are healthy bbys means there are many dead ones...
idk. i'd really like a beautiful super cinnamon...i just don't want to promote a dangerous part of this hobby at the expense of these animals...ugh.

Suma is definitely a great pick if you're in the market for dark solids. Black Pastel/Cinnamon cross spares some of the risks of the SuCin or SuBP with a similar look. I'm really fond of this coloration type, like this is one of the most beautiful snakes I've seen. But I, personally, won't purchase the supers due to the genetic issues.

I believe that's a super black pastel or a summa+bp/cin that is paradox(not generally considered a genetically replicate-able anomaly) ...that one rivals the albino super banded paradox I saw a pic of

Oh yeah, I forgot about Mojave GHI. Not a complete solid a lot of the time, but some come very close, especially with other genes in play.
