Certainly the onus is on the breeder /seller to be honest, and forthcoming about the genetics of the animal. He should have pictures of the parents, pictures of the parents locked , the eggs and the hatchlings. He should be able to give you a written guarantee of the het genetics and back it up! I just hatched out a clutch of double hets for pied x albino and I have all that for my potential customers.
Weird. My BP was considered something more than normal by other users on the forums, and his tongue is pink, I think.

    Re: Determining Het Albino?

The lighter overall coloration and the tongue color are things that have been thrown around in the quest for defining het albinos. The pictures, documentation of locks , eggs and hatchlings is the one thing a responsible breeder can do. The sure fire way to prove it out is to breed the animal appropriately. Thanks. Good luck. Also, the breeder should go out on the line to guarantee the genetics in writing along with all the other documentation.
