    Incubator

What incubator do you use? and what do you recommend for a new breeder to use. I am looking for the best solution with the least amount of risk. I am looking at maybe at Kemp reptile incubators, but I want to know what the community recommends. Currently I only have 3 breeding size females. So I don't need anything huge yet but plan on expanding.

Not for sale next year I will start producing Colubrids and Leos and this incubator will be used for that, the bigger one I will build will be for BP exclusively.

One question I had about that type of incubator is will the plug from the heat tape fit through the drain hole on the cooler, or does the hole need to be enlarged? I've never really looked closely...jus kinda something I've wondered about.

Yes and no if you wire the heat tape before installing it it will not, what you need to do is wire the heat tape in the incubator.

Just get the connectors through as shown and wire your heat tape

    Re: Incubator

Why don't you connect it to the flexwatt and do the "Plug" connection after ?

I think it would be easier to do the connection on the flexwatt BEFORE in a better suited place. And do the Plug connection when it's passed on.

In my opinion, it's easier to screw stuff than do the connection for the heat tape. But at the same time, I don't use that type of connectors.
