BP adopted from Craigslist transformation!
Hey everyone! I was really excited because our normal ball python, Marceline, had her first shed with us. We've had her for a month now and her transformation in a month is awesome! I wanted to share with you all.
This is what she looked like the day we picked her up from the original owner. They had bad substrate, I don't think the enclosure had ever been cleaned. She had only heat lamps and no heat mat. When we got her the low quality thermometer was broken and one of her lamps was broken too.

This is her this morning after her first shed with us.

We are still very new to being BP parents, so any suggestions to improve her Husbandry is appreciated.
She has two hides (one hot, one cool) , temperature gradient of 92°-80°, humidity is kept between 50-60% (bumped it up to 65-70% during shed) and we have her on a coconut husk substrate. She's in a 20 gallon right now, but we are going to move her into a 40 gallon next week.
The original owner said she was 2yo.
I do worry if she's under weight because the girl was feeding her adult mice, she is currently eating small rats (step up from rat crawlers) with us. I feel like her spine is fairly defined at her neck.
She eats VERY well and eats every 7-10 days.
Sorry for the links... I'm still trying to learn how to post actual photos here.

Temps are too hot, I'd have the absolute hottest spot (floor under substrate right over heat pad) no more than 90 but the hot side should be 85, cool side 75-78. If she is really under weight I would feed her a little more often but I can't see the pics. 7 days is good if it's not too bad. I wouldn't spread it to 10 till she was nearing full size unless she is overweight. That's how often I feed full size males and they maintain their weight, not grow.

I think she looks pretty good, actually. Hard to tell about weight, but even if she needs to gain some, don't rush it. Easy does it. She's lucky you came along.

She actually looks pretty good, I'd go with 7 days, and adjust as needed.
