    Feeders Bad

So I accidentally left my freezer door open last night. Most of my feeders are now soft. Are they salvageable?

How cold are they? Can't guarantee safety, but if you want to try to re-freeze, pay close attention when you thaw them to feed...sniff for off odors & toss
if they don't smell right or if your snakes say "no thanks" -take their word for it. You aren't the first one to do this...there was another similar thread not
too long ago. Cute dog, btw!

Hard to tell. Some of them were bleeding. So upset. This was a new batch. Going to estimate just under 24 hours that the door was slightly open. Still cold inside since one pack was mostly solid.

If they were still pretty cold to the touch they should be fine. The pack that was still solid is definitely fine.
Like mentioned above, give them a sniff before using them. Toss them if there's any questionable odor.
When in doubt, throw it out.

I'd probably give them a try...most are likely ok, & especially the ones still "mostly solid". What you may lose w/ the others is "quality": because they're re-
frozen, they may fall apart when snake grabs them to eat. It's important (for 'food safety') that they were still cold, also still in their pkgs (not deliberately
    thawed & handled).

If the seem too bad, I'd toss them. If they seem OK, I'd try offering one to a snake and let them decide. If they eat it, fine, they're good. If they refuse it then go ahead and toss it.

I fed a couple of the smaller rat pups to my babies. They ended up taking them. I know "that smell" they seemed ok but I am more worried about next time. I'll probably end up dumping them. Totally sucks though.

if they are soft, I would toss them

    I also don't re-freeze uneaten ones either.
