How Do You Heat Your Enclosures?

Heat tape? CHEs or lights? Heat panels? Heating Pads? What do you use?

Re: How Do You Heat Your Enclosures?

Under tank heater and che for my glass qt tank and my one glass terrarium. Heat pads and infared heat lamp for my wooden vivariums. Heat tape for my racks. I'd like to get an RHP setup though.

I use a UTH for my 20 gallon tank, with a small heat bulb to keep the air warm since my house is a bit chilly.

Our large BP enclosure uses heat tape and a regulator, our small BP enclosure uses heat tape and a rheostat. Our Red Tail's enclosure has an IR heat lamp and heat rope wound in a zig zag pattern. All of these are taped under the glass to prevent direct contact with the animal, and use something to regulate the heat. I wish I could afford herpistats.. but.. Im just a soldier.. I will up grade as I can.

I use a heat light for now. Building a new enclosure that will have heat pads.
