Just got a tank.
I know, I know.... but I wanted a tank. So, anyways, it's a 20 gallon Exo-Terra and I know it's not gonna be good enough in the future but it's gonna okay now, I mean I don't have a Ball Python yet.
But anyways, I got about 2 questions.
How do I clean a terrarium? Do you use regular dish soap and water?
And how big does a ball python have to get before having to change the tank?

Re: Just got a tank.
i use disinfectant wipes then wipe the enclosure down with a wet paper towel after to remove and leftover residue.
use your best judgement on whether they've outgrown the enclosure. you'll know when the time comes. for me it was when Yellow needed bigger hides that wouldn't fit in the 20gal.

Re: Just got a tank.
I use a tank myself, even though I know they aren't completely practical but it's what I like. I clean mine with Dr.Bronner's but that's kind of an al in one soap (you can use it for shampoo, tooth paste, laundry soap, dish soap, washing your dog, etc.) but some regular dish soap should work just as well.
As for your second question, take the perimeter of your tank and divide it by two, once your snake is bigger than that measurement I'd recommend getting a bigger tank. Hope this helps.
