    Question about tank size

Finally, I've saved enough to rid all of my small tanks and build some nice "showpiece" tanks. Problem is, I don't want one that would freak my ball python out. I have a few snakes I'm going to rid, and keeping this beautiful 7ft ball python morph. I want to build a nice size tank so I can decorate it and make it look good. Im debating if a 5 ft by 27 inches tank is too big or what. I would make it about 18 -20 inches tall also. Some people say it would be too big and the snake would be scared, but I don't know this to be true. Is there a tank size that's "too big" for an adult ball python?

    Re: Question about tank size

5 foot is pretty big for a beep, but i can't really say there's such a thing as "too big" for adults.

you got pics of this 7ft ball python??

No, there's no "too big" IMHO as long as the snake is given enough hides and cover to allow them to feel safe and protected as they move about, and you can ensure proper heating and humidity in a larger space. With one at that size, you should probably be considering more than the basic two hides and lots of other enrichment without large empty spaces your snake will be scared to use.

7 ft ball pythons = pics or didn't happen LOL

But really for any adult snake, there's no such thing as "too big"- you just need to set them up with what they need. Ball pythons like a lot of cover and hides.
