feeding guide?
i've been feeding Corny mice fuzzies every 7 days but he acts like he's DYING by day 4-5. he's probably around 100g by now (just fed him so i can't get his weight atm). i'm sure i need to up the size of his prey, but i'm still new to colubrids.
does anyone have any advice here? i feel like i'm starving him.

Re: feeding guide?
Some people do feed youngsters every 5 days or so .. Maybe do some online research while you wait for some other replies ...

Just one fuzzy every 7 days? You might want to do at least 2 or even three if he is too small for a hopper. I transition by crushing the skull at first so they can swallow it. FT of course lol. I feed 4 corns and a king weekly. Just switched the king to a fuzzy from two pinkies. Each corn gets two pinkies right now.
and mine do too at day 5. Omg I'm starving....if I let them they would just keep eating. Cornies are Hoover vacuums that will never stop. Lol

he's not a youngster though, he's maybe 3-4 years old (at least that's what his previous owners told me). i guess relatively that's young for a snake...yeah i think i need to do some digging. thanks for the response!

he might be big enough for a hopper but i need to get a weight on him. the fuzzies leave a liiiitle lump but i do think he might be ready for bigger prey. i was hoping there was a corn feeding chart some of you guys have used so i can gauge...i'll have to do my own research.
i'll need to order f/t soon so getting bigger prey won't be too much of an issue. if anything i can go to the petsmart.
in 5 days i'll offer him two, which of course he'll eat. i'll try and get a weight on him tomorrow and see what my research comes up with. thank you!

his previous owners only fed him every few weeks up to once a month; that's the only reason i can think of as to why he's so small. he was ~60g when i got him back in march, he's probably floating just under 100g now.

Re: feeding guide?
It sounds like your corn is a bit undersized. You can't make up for lost time so I would keep him on a 7 day feeding schedule but increase the prey size or food intake.

thank you for your input! i'll stick to 7 days but offer two fuzzies. should i offer three?
i know he's smaller than he should be but i've been doing my best to beef him up! i'm going to stop into petsmart tonight and see what size mice they have (my next f/t shipment isn't for another month or so).

here's a guide i found:
Mouse size/feeding guide (taken from the Munson feeding plan):
Snake (4 – 15g) = 1 Pinkie (0.5 – 3g) - feed every 4 to 5 days
Snake (16 – 23g) = 2 pinkies (3 – 4g) - feed every 5 to 6 days
Snake (24 – 30g) = small fuzzy (3 – 6g) - feed every 6 to 7 days
Snake (30 – 50g) = fuzzy (7 – 9g) - feed every 6 to 7 days
Snake (51 – 90g) = fluff/hoppers (7 – 12g) - feed every 6 to 7 days
Snake (91-170g) = Small Adult/Weaned (13-18g) - feed every 7 days (Includes medium mice 16 - 20g)
Snake (170g+) = Large (19 to 25g) - feed every 7 to x days
Snake (400+) = X large (30g +) - feed every 10 to x days
looks like i've been underfeeding. i will definitely start beefing up his diet come next feeding.

I don't usually offer my snakes more than (2) prey items per feeding. At his size I'd feed him roughly 15-20% of his body weight. It sounds like you'll have to get some mice hoppers soon.
