Wont be running out of room anytime soon!!!
Well the move is almost over we should have everything in by next wednesday and then hopefully I can go back to the beach lol. But thought I would get some pics up of the new rat barn and the new snake building. The snake building will not be ready to house reptiles for a while though I am going to put up more insulation and hook up central heating and air. But here are some pics

Excuse the pirate ship playset I was to lazy to put it together today so I just through it in the building.

Hopefully I will be getting more rat racks in the next few weeks and some rabbit hutches outside.

I bet you are super stoked.

Are you going to have to insulate doors at all?

can't tell if it dirt or concerte on he floor for the rodent building if idirt i would think putting a floor in will help prevent any possible issues with bugs, and or the bottom of the racks from rotting out if that happens to be a low area when there large rain or hurricane type rains/flooding if that an issue. I wish i had the snake room cause i could always make an excuse to have a smaller shed build later on for the rodents lol..

I would watch out for extra snakes visiting the rat barn too they will smell he fod and think you opening all they can eat and slither away with buffee:rolleye2:

Thanks everyone! We actually have the rodent building finished this week and its up and running with air and electricity. And I was shocked to find out it really does not smell to bad. The floor in the rodent building is concrete. We bombed it before we moved the rodents in there to try to make sure there wasnt anybugs but I doubt ill be able to stop them completly.

The reptile building will not be able to house snakes until we get our tax returns back. Im going to install a central heating and air system. And we are going to insulate it again. BUt its going to run about 5,000 dollars to do that. So for right now they are in the house and ill get a pic of the new reptile room this week and post it up. IM sorry I havent been around but its been really hectic moving everyone.

I know that Tim Bailey keeps two tokay geckos in his rat barn to take care of bugs. They've done such a good job that he has to dump crickets in there every now and then. Once you know the residual pesticide is gone (once you see live insects) that might be something you may want to consider. They just free roam in the rodent building. I thought it was a very creative way to do control bugs naturally!

We use Tokay Geckos. Actually they are in our snake building, as our rodent room, oddly enough, hasn't accumulated a roach problem as of yet.

Man I've heard of people dedicating a certain room in the house or even the basement to their reptiles and feeders..but you have gone the extra mile!! lol..making a small building to hold them! That's great! And it definitely looks like it's coming along wonderfully :0)
