Re: day 48 my 1st pips ever!!!
Congrats! I'm so excited for you. This is my third year breeding and I've still not gotten to see a little head pipping out of an egg. (although I'm very determined to get to see it THIS year!)

Temp that is on the helix is set at 92, along with another temp and humidity gage in the eggbox tht stays around 88.9-91.1 with humidity around the high 90's.

Because the babies need the time in the egg after pipping to absorb their yolk. It gives them just a little bit more time in the protection of the shell to finish developing--like how human babies need the last week or so to properly develop the lungs. Babies can and DO come out early...but you're better off waiting for them to decide they've cooked long enough on their own. :gj:

Re: day 48 my 1st pips ever!!!
Every egg has open up,so I decieded to slit a bigger opening in the egg. So far i can see 2 definate pastels that look awsome so much blushing,1 normal that still looks nice, and then we have one that likes to hide and only show here white belly. Once there all out of the egg I'll take weight and pics. I cant wait to see them after they shed.

Re: day 48 my 1st pips ever!!!
Alright one of the babies is out,the only thing is that I'm worried about is she/he only weighs 40grams. Once I saw the weight I got kinda scared, but all the yoak in the egg was absorbed. She/he inbelicle cord was also off of her. Do I have anything to worry about extreamly or just keep in eye out on her/him. She is now pretty active in her tub.
I'l post a pic shortly.

Re: day 48 my 1st pips ever!!!
She will be fine. Just set her up on a moist paper towel, and wait for her to shed. Grats on your clutch, by the way.

Re: day 48 my 1st pips ever!!!

Re: day 48 my 1st pips ever!!!
Well I gave her a moist paper towel, and I cut a tiny part off of the carbord of the paper towels to give her a small place to hide. She also started drinking water. A few pics
