Re: Help ME
Picture? Is she swollen looking?
I'd recommend a vet visit also

Re: Help ME
How old and how much does she weigh? By any chance have you had her in with a male? Pics would be nice.
-
Re: Help ME
She is only half a year old maybe older and lives with another female her same size, i dont have pics what i did today was took a probe and opened her butt hole open and worked what ever it was to the buttom and what came out was a nice maybe two half dollar size puddle of water so i guess it was fluid but why does this happen where BP's get filled with fluid

Re: Help ME
She was getting ready to pee..I had a baby get a urate stuck and he was all backed up..it just happens
-
Re: Help ME
she is doing fine and really moving around her cage after i drained her
-
Re: Help ME
its weird this has never happen to any of my other BP's and she was swollen like she had ate two meals for only being a foot long
-
Re: Help ME
...Well I assume she still drinks water, which means she can still pee...I don't really get why needing to pee is confusing. Lol
Just a little reccommendation, you should house your snakes seperately :)That is probably why she is "lazy" and "not eating". I assume the other one in with her eats normally.

Re: Help ME
today i looked at my BP and she still is like a balloon i open her butthole to release the air but after when she breaths in she just gets puffy again and its like shes stuck and can't release the air she just sucked in and she weezes like shes tryn to release it and does this weird lip thing out the side of her mouth like pushing air out but not enough

Re: Help ME
I don't think that method is working, please take your snake to the vet! It sounds as if he may have a serious problem!
-
Re: Help ME
Man I'd say you need to take her to the vet.
Playing "doctor" on her by doing what your doing and releasing "fluids" or whatever is not the greatest of ideas.
Doing something funny with her lip make me think of possible Mouth Rot, and possibly Respiratory Infection.
Why not just take the animal to the vet and find out whats going on? Even with all the experience people on the forums have, and all the advice we give, the best advice sometimes is to take a trip to the vet.

X2. Vets have experience in this sort of thing. It's not something for an amateur. It could be a respiratory problem.

Re: Help ME
First - STOP sticking things up in her.
Second - if you are so concerned that you are resorting to sticking foreign objects in her - you should take her to the vet.
Please update us after her vet visit.

I agree...this sounds like a possible RI. The swelling could be from fluid and mucus build up. Vet asap.

Re: Help ME
it sounds like its time to take them both to the vet because chances are that if one of them has something the other one will get it if it doesn't have it already.
-
Re: Help ME
You guys guessd right it was RI and now my Albino has it also since they were housed together

That is the most comedic yet sincere and very serious post I have seen in a while.

I had a Burm couple years back, got it from a guy complete with RI and all. One shot, one meal and a week of rest later she was good again. Good luck! And yeah, separate them. They'll end up sooo happy.

And this is a clear example of one of the main reasons why snakes should be housed separately.
2x vet bills!

Did the backup fix itself or did you need to do something to unblock it?

Re: Help ME
Well my snakes are doing fine after tube feeding them and given to shots each.
-
Re: Help ME
Tube feeding was needed?
I'm just a bit surprised. I can understand the meds. and I'm very glad both of your snakes are hopefully on there way to a full recovery. It sounds like that went well.
But I was just wondering about the tube feeding.
Thanks
