Say hello to Amigo.
This is Amigo, my hypo translucent male bearded dragon. I'm just about to take him outside for some sunshine while I whip up some steaks on the bbq but thought I would introduce him here first...

I really dig him. :D When I got him I had no idea that he was a special morph. My previous beardie had passed (a rescue with lots of complications) and I was at a reptile expo and feeling glum. Well this little guy cheered me up so I just had to take him home with me. Of course he was the most expensive one on the table.
I've already got a few folks trying to persuade me into breeding arrangements for when he's older since he's such a handsom little guy.
Thanks for looking/reading!

Hey it's my glow in the dark buddy. He looks more glowy than ever :sunny:

Very nice beardie, they just have the best faces!

Re: Say hello to Amigo.
He is pretty. I had a choice between a beardie and a bp. Choose the bp, but hey. There is nothing wrong with having both, I just have to do some convincing with my bf  Not as easy as it looks.

He looks slightly thin and stressed though.

I've had him since the end of last October at which point he was only 11 inches. Those pics were taken in January of this year (when he wasn't eating a ton due to it being winter) and now that the weather is nice again and he's 16 inches or so he's still packing away the food. It never ceases to amaze me how much they can eat and how little it shows. (While growing anyway.) He still has a lot of growing left to do so here's to hoping I end up with a nice big fat boy by summer!
And no doubt he was stressed due to the photos, lol. I'm pretty annoying when I take pics.
Thanks to everyone for the kind comments. :)

Oo I love Trans!
If anyone takes this to out of context ill hurt...

Beautiful boy! He doesn't look thin at all! When they are growing, it's like that have an empty leg. You feed and feed and feed them more, and they don't look the slightest bit fatter, but they are gaining wait out the bum.
Anyway, I'm usually not a fan of translucents, but he's a cute little dude! :D

Why Hello there Amigo! :D

Re: Say hello to Amigo.
That is an amazing beardie, I absolutely love his eyes.
I have wanted one really bad for a long time.. but don't have the room for a cage of proper proportions for one.. not to mention, I'm terrible at building my own enclosures so a good floor-wide glass tank will be hard to find other than a 40 breeder, which I think is too small.. :tears:
Breeding roaches or crickets would not go well either...

Re: Say hello to Amigo.
Thanks again for all the compliments folks!
I actually have him sitting on me right now. Little bugger just escaped from his tank! :O I've never had an issue with a beardie climbing out an open latch in the screen lid but sure enough my guy is part kangaroo I guess, haha. I found him hiding under my bed. He didn't get too far, heh. (A lot easier to find than an escaped snake, that's for sure!)
I had him in a 15 gallon when I first got him and upgraded him to his current tank, a 40 gallon breeder. It's on the small side for an adult beardie so I will likely end up building him something in the future. For now though it's adequate...

You would be VERY surprised by how high they can jump.
See this tank

On of my beardies from the ground could jump up and land perfectly on the ledge of the top, and sometimes if I left the top open he would hang out there.
