man how would that look as a hypo lol I love it congrats vpi

Re: Patternless BP
its gorgeous. glad it finally worked. wonder how that will play into other morphs?
-
Re: Patternless BP
i imagine it will gel into projects much the same as a super cinny, i personally think it will go alot darker than that, ralphs female patternless is almost pure black.
congrats to VPI, its amazing how the clutch is soo early and it was a vital clutch, its usually the most vital that come at the end of the season!

Re: Patternless BP
Congrats Tracy. I have always wanted to here the full story of that project. Thanks for sharing it, and Congratulations again for putting so much effort and grief into that project. It definitely paid off.

That's an awesome snake, and a great story. Persistence really paid off this time.

Re: Patternless BP
I also can't wait to see what it does with some other morphs.
This is why I want to breed ball pythons. I want to discover a new morph.
How do you find legitimate sources for imports?
I don't have the knowledge right now to take on a WC, or the $$ for vet visits and whatnot, but in a couple years I imagine I will, and at that point I think I would like to try the morph lottery... But all I see is WC gravids and shady looking companies... Where do NERD and VPI get their imports?

Re: Patternless BP
Thats an amazing snake. Can't wait to see if you can get an all yellow snake from pastel x Patternless.

Re: Patternless BP

sorry to disagree, but the super cinnamon works in the way of turning the snake to a solid black meaning besides the panda pied its really the end of the morph, but this patternless starts with no pattern so techniclly you should be able to cross a pastel and get a patternless yellow snake, could you imagine a super pastel patternless, wow!!!!

Eh at the same time, we already have a rather patternless BP it's call a Champagne, and we'll likely have the Super Pastel of it soon....

Re: Patternless BP
Wow, awesome news! Paternless look pretty sweet, and i bet they could make some sweet combos as well.

right i understand that, but you can tell the difference in a pastel champagne, and plus the patternless looks alot different then the champagne, and the patternless is still the same color as the backround of pattern as a normal, its just missing the pattern so possibly the pastel cross could make it a all yellow snake.
the genetics are clearly differnt between the champagne and patternless thus making different results with the crosses

Re: Patternless BP
Wow thats frickin' amazing, the odds from breeding wc "normals" or should I say "normal looking" and getting a hit are... astronomical!!!
A HUGE congrats to them!!!!!!

Re: Patternless BP

Actually she wrote that the original two imports where "pretty normal". Maybe by "pretty" she meant "very normal" but I'm betting they where "particularly attractive normals". If so they might have been selected for breeding in the first place and pairing to each other based on a subtle variation from normal common to the two. I've heard that often het stripes have a look to them so maybe this morph does too (who knows it might even be an allele of genetic stripe). A very exciting new morph and glad to hear it’s on the way to being established and eventually generally available.
