Curious has a Albino Bumblebee been created
Was wondering if this morph has been made a cross between a Bumblebee X Albino BP if so anyone got pics?

Nope hasn't been created yet. The pastel and super pastel albino, along with the spider albino have been produced, but no bumble-bino yet.

lol, just randomly came to mind. :D

Most likely the reason why it hasn't been produced yet is because it would technically look just like an albino spider, just more of a mellower yellow hue to it is all. But then again maybe nobody has gotten around to it yet. Certainly seems like an interesting project.

It's because Pastel Albinos aren't that much different looking from normal Albinos.

exactly. its a waste of time and female to produce a albino bumblebee. it will look exactly like an albino spider. not to mention it would take about 5 or 6 years to make from scratch. just my opinion.

I would like to see an albino-bee personally. I know the albino pastels are not super hot, but it would still be nice to see.

My opinion and just think say you took any of the bees out there like Cinnabee, Honeybee,:O Killerbee or Lesserbee and put it into the Albino famaily i think it would create something so crazy and cool!

I think you are confused how the bee genetics work. Bees are just a spider pattern with the added color morph of something else. When you add the albino gene in there it will do the same thing every time with just a slight difference in the shade of color depending on the color morph its going against. A Cinnabee, Lesserbee, Honeybee, Bumblebee or Killerbee will all come out looking like this picture, but with a slight difference in the shade of color. plain and simple. Nothing crazy other than what a typical albino spider would look like. thats why it hasnt been done... err its already been done if you look at it from the other side. Its just not worth the effort.

On just about every other trait id agree with you that you never know, but the gene for albinism is very predictable wether it be (t+) or (t-)

I have a male bee that's possible het for albino, and am planning to try to prove it out next year, which has a very long shot of producing an albino bumble bee.

That's not true. Cinnamons, lessers, mojaves, butters, black pastels and probably a few others drastically change the spider pattern, so adding any of these to an albino spider will change the color and the pattern. Some of them will look significantly different than an albino spider. Even the subtle albino bee combos are worth the work for the power house breeders that can be produced.

The combos that he is speaking of (lesser, cinny, bumble, killer, honey) are not drastically different from a normal spider other than color. put them all together in the same tub and take a picture in black and white and i bet you wont be able to pick out which is which, (unless they are your own animals ofcourse). the differences between their pattern is so small. now the other combos using a spider like the mojave spider, spinner, motley, pewter ect would be a nice project. no doubt tho that nomatter which he chooses to make it will be a powerhouse. it just didnt seem like he was doing it for the powerhouse effect of it, but more of hopes of creating something that looked drastically different from what anyone else has done. by all means make one of each and prove me wrong, but i think if your doing it for the visual wow factor, then you will be disappointed.

You don't think albino cinnabees, albino lesser bees and albino butter bees will look drastically different than an albino spider? They all have completely unique patterns. I think any albino with a different pattern, like the cinnamon albino, have a huge wow factor visually.

haha i thougt it was funny you sent me that link because i used that link to double checked my thoughts on those bees before i typed my last post to make sure i wasnt going crazy.

anyways no i dont think they will look drastically different, and i dont think there is a drastic difference between the pattern of the cinny, lesser, bumble, killer and honeybees. a very slight difference in my eyes. the butterbee on that page has a different pattern though. they do have different head patterns. try to picture them with the colors of a normal spider.

an albino cinny on its own is an amazing looking snake with the cinny pattern.

I assumed it had been done before. Thanks for the thread. I'm just trying to figure out what the odds are of hatching one from my 50% poss het albino bee x het albino. I think 1/16 if the bee proves to be a het. With the pastel, like mech said, I don't know if I would be able to tell the difference between an albino spider and an albino bee. But I would definitely be able to tell an albino lesser bee, albino butter, bee, albino mojave bee and albino cinny bee apart. :D

Re: Curious has a Albino Bumblebee been created
im working on the albino bee in next few years. next season ill have 100% het albino spiders and 100% het albino pastels. Hoping i get the odds on my side i should get the following.

    Albinos
    Albino Pastel
    Albino Spider
    Albino Bee
    66% Het albino
    66% Het albino spider
    66% Het albino pastel
    66% Het albino Bee

I would like ALL of them to come out first clutch.
