    Vick released to home
I bet there are several NFL teams that will be trying to get him on their team as well in the near future.

picking up Vick would be a publicity nightmare. any team that does so is going to have to deal with protests and picketing.

personally i'm hoping he gets hit by a bus one day or he dies in a fire.

Some team will pick him up, and if he really wants to stick it to the PETA types that are sure to protest him, he'll show up at the press conference with a toy poodle in his arms, ala "Paris". The poodle can be wearing a diamond collar that says, "Bad Newz Kennels II". Some of the best advice I ever got was, "When people are gonna' talk about you anyway, give em' something you want them to talk about".

    LOL.

    I'd pay to see that.

Is he allowed to own dogs? I could see part of his punishment not being allowed to own dogs ever again, that kind of stuff happens often enough with child molesters. And back in the late 80s when a handful of hackers were banned from using computers.

I think the NFL will and should allow Vick to come back and play if a team will have him.

    Here's why:

    • The NFL, like all sports, cares about one thing; selling tickets and making money. If an owner thinks he'll accomplish that with Vick, he'll be signed. If not, he won't. It's that simple and has absolutely nothing to do with what's right or wrong.
    • Jamal Lewis did time on drug distribution charges. Check out Leonard Little's record, including his manslaughter conviction. Larry Johnson. Michael Pittman. etc. All of these guys are still playing and IMO, committed worse crimes. It would be a serious double standard to as a league ban Vick but let these guys play.

Actually, I think not owning a dog might be a condition of his parole, and would stay in effect for the duration of his probation. After that he would most likely have to apply to the state to have the restriction lifted.

I see the cowboys getting them. They couldnt get anymore publicity from him than they do from T.O. or Pacman.

I tend to agree with you, he would fit in with their system, but I know for a fact that the DFW area has a strong PETA following. I've seen them protest in large numbers outside the Gallaria Mall during the Xmas season.

Not sure Jerry Jones wants to take all that on in front of his new Football Palace that opens next season....but then again, JJ has a track record for doing strange things.

IF he does come back I hope to god he comes back as a running back because he's probably the worst quarterback I've ever seen play the game.

I was thinking Cowboys, too. Jerry Jones has been on a streak of doing stupid things, this would fit right in (and no I'm not a disgruntled cowboys fan [/sarcasm])

Some team will surely pick him up. They can probably land him at bargain basement prices as compared to if he had not gotten into trouble. They could create a Gus D' Amato type job to supervise him. For those that don't know, Gus D'Amato was a father figure/manager to Mike Tyson. As soon as Gus died Mike did nothing but get into trouble. Vick seems to a similar bonehead that needs someone to lead him by the hand through his personal life.

All he will be doing is KR and PRs. The entire time he was playin for my falcons i wished we would get a new QB and have him returning kicks. I still have a little piece of me that loves to watch him play so ill watch him where ever he goes.
