Cinnamon VS Black Pastel

Wondering which you liked better, cinnamon or black pastel?

I did a search and pulled up a few older threads ;)

There are a bunch of opinions scattered about them. Have fun reading! :P

BTW...Cinny all the way for me. :salute:

Seeing how I have three black pastels im a bp kinda guy, but I would not pass down a hot cinny just because I like black pastels over cinnys for some unknown reason. It all depends on the snake. One reason why why I like black pastels better is because in my opinion( Yes mine... as in I... meaning Me, so no arguing) make better looking combos. - Matt

Thanks for the vote and the links! I guess what I really meant was even if they are genetically the same, which do you like more visually? (Cinny for me too!)

Yes, it does depend on the animal. In my opinion, I think cinny combos are awesome and they are better looking themselves over Blk Pastels. Just my opinion, and thanks for yours! :)

I know there is some subtle differences so they do not look exactly the same but close enough that if all I was looking for was "that" look either would do. However if faced with a choice between buying a black pastel or a cinnamon, providing they were offered to me at the same price ,age, and sex I would choose the black pastel only becuase the super is supposidly blacker than the super cinny.

I've seen some pretty awesome super cinnies! It seems most people who like black pastels like them more than cinnamons in combos, do you still like black pastels more by themselves as plain black pastels?

I am a Black Pastel kind of girl however I have seen some cinnies that I would not mind owning (Albey produces some amazing ones ;))

Im not sure knid of the same but I have never seen a black pastel in real life. Id need to see them side by side.

Cinnie's all the way! I must of seen 20 of each mutation at daytona and picked my cinny male. I'm super happy with my choice. At the end of the day it was all about there look.

It really comes down to what traits you're looking for. The cinnamons I like tend to have a lighter brown, chocalatey appearance. I'd love to get my hands on a nice brown back cinnamon. At the moment we've got a pair of black pastels. They have a lot more deep black to their pattern. It really all comes down to the animal itself and if it was produced as a result of selective breeding. I've seen snakes from both lines that were so muddied up they almost looked normal.

I like cinnies the best, but those are some NICE black pastels! :gj:

i was a fan of cinnamins, but now i totally switched over to black pastels...the darker the better

Really, I like the lighter brown on cinnamons.

Blk pastels!! I just like the really dark black and the orangey color to the pattern.. Plus the combos are killer. My fav is the black platinum..

Kinda the way I would go. We have a Cinnamon male that is currently breeding with a normal. We are looking at getting a black pastel Female as a future project. We would like to one day make a silver bullet and a sterling pastel. These two combo morphs are probably the best at showing the difference between the Black pastel and Cinnamon pastel when combined with other genetics.

I like the black pastel and as a combo. I think they make a better looking pewter.

I'm personally a cinny fan, but would like to add a black pastel to the collection some day.

WOW!:O Amazing Cinnies! I love the brown heads on cinnamons!

Cinnies all the way. They are gorgeous and IMO black pastels just look like dark normals. They don't have a striking difference from normals unlike Cinnies.

I picked Cinnys because we already have the black pastel.. :D

i have 0.1cinny and 1.1 black pewters :banana:

I got a black pastel a couple of months ago. She's beautiful. I like the contrast of her orangy spots and stripes against the dark dark black. I also like her busy pattern, it's busier than cinnys, I think. She also has amazing blushing. I'll take a picture tomorrow, she just ate.

I think eventually I'll get a cinny, but I'm really happy with my choice.

Black Pastel for me. I just got a baby boy one for Christmas. Not that I would turn down a Cinny, though. I do plan to have one in my collection some time soon.

I love them both, but I prefer Black Pastels :)

I'm a cinnamon guy all the way :). IMO they make better looking combos, they look better on their own (I like the ones with the whiter pattern and beautiful browned out head pattern) and I'm getting my first one soon lol. I'm actually hoping that we'll be able to have a clutch of cinnies this season, my pastel hasn't been getting the job done so once my cinnamon is out of QT he's going right in with the ladies lol. Damn, that's gonna be hard to wait for lol.

For me I would pick the specific animal not the morph.
There are pretty ones of both and dogs as well.

I like the black supers better(darker) but I like the cinny patterns in combos more.

I have both and reccomned getting the best example of either one.

So if Cinnie x Pastel = Pewter :cool:

I am more into black pastels, to me they just look better, but even with that said I can still imagine myself with one cinnamon, Albey has some nice ones I wouldn't mind owning.
