Almost looks like a dark silver bullet ringer but that could just be a trick of the light. I wonder if Albey's working on the silver bullet pied yet? :O that would be HOT

Well, even though its not the smoking gun, it still is very beautiful. In a way it has made me stoked again, to see the actual super black pastel pied.
    Thankyou for sharing!

Ian told us he had hatched it but not to say anything about it.
A few days later he had told a few other people. I was looking forward to seeing the pics too, and asked if he cared if I posted that it had been made, with the idea he was going to send me the pics later that day like he had said.

If you have ever dealt with him you know he is one of the very best in the biz...but like Adam said he is not good with pics, or phone calls, emails, text, smoke signal, telegram, etc....

If we ever do get the pics we will put them up asap, as we thought they were coming over that same day.

The only person that I know has seen them is BHB.

I don't know about all that ... it's none of my business really. I just wanted to confirm that the mutation has been produced and does exist because people were actually beginning to post that they didn't believe it and I thought that that was not cool.

It's not my animal and really not my place to give any information about it other than to confirm it's existence ... and I'm not even sure that was appropriate ... but oh well.

That isn't it. I haven't seen it but I know people who have and they've told me what it looks like. Ian G doesn't really care to get 'net' cred, he knows what he's produced and that's all that matters.

There is a rumor out there that it is badly kinked, until this pic is revealed to put that rumor to rest, the ones that have seen it can't comment, can they

No one told me that I "can't comment" on anything ... I personally didn't see any kinks in the animal that I saw ... I didn't run my thumb down it's spine and examine it either, but just looking at it, it appeared to me to be fine.

While I don't feel it's appropriate for me to air Ian's business on internet forums, I do think it's appropriate to put to rest any false speculation if I can.

    I hope this helps.

How does one go about getting ahold of Ian G.? I tried E-mailing him a couple times through his web site and never got an answer. I purchased a snake from J&J that came from Ian G., it has genetic traits that are supposedly proven by Ian and I was looking to get more info on it. :)

Your best bet is to catch him at a show ... or contact J&J maybe?

To answer your question, the pic you posted looks like a Super Cinnamon Ringer that was produced by Jared Hornstein in 2006 (I believe). I would bet that that is the same animal. And, the Super Black Pastel Pied does not look like that. As Adam stated, it does exist, I have seen the pic. However, that is all I will say about that.

    Hope that helps,

Why is it under wraps anyway? I don't understand that...

By the way, here's the link to the site where I got the pic from:

You'd be surprised at all of the mutations that exist that have never been posted on the internet ... there are some people that just focus their priorities in other place ... simple as that really. :D

Adam -- tho I certainly agree people have other priorities and understand that some people produce stuff and just don't post it - and that is absolutely within their right and I'm cool with that. But given that someone  decided to post all over the forums about this thing without Ians permission or pictures -- why isn't Ian breaking out the camera for one glory shot of the dang thing? What's his thought on it - is he just going to let people stew until someone else produces one or is he waiting for maybe another clutch to hatch or something? Or has he sworn everyone to secrecy? Is it retarded? Come on we're all friends here you can tell us.....

Actually tosha... no one posted it all over the forums with out Ian's permission about it.

You should get your facts strait before you talk. Just like all the b.s you posted on k.s that got deleted.

Ian gave us permission to post that he made it, and got tied up with other things before he sent the pics.

I have nothing else to say about it, if he wants to put pics up he will, next time we wont bother posting about anything.

I wish I knew Tosha? ... I'm really not the guy to answer that one. I just don't like seeing stones thrown at the project just because pics haven't been posted ... in my humble opinion, that's not right.

Maybe he'll post pics after hunting season?

Because that's Ian. He doesn't seek the glory that some people may, he knows what he has and I think that is all that matters to him. If he didn't post it on a forum to begin with I don't see how the logic that he'd post a picture after someone did stems out like it has.

Not to name drop... BUT ... While speaking with Brian (BHB) at Anaheim, the animal in question came up. Brian said that Ian had excitedly sent him a picture -- Brian even tried to find it on his phone as he was sure he had saved it, but weeding through the HUNDREDS of messages on there was not going to happen. Brian gave me no indication that the snake was anything other than healthy.

Ian is first and foremost a businessman and is not driven by ego. He would tell you as much -- and posting an animal-- any animal-- EVEN A SUPER BLACK PIED is not the highest priority on his daily punch list.

I believe the animal exists, is healthy and will be seen somewhere in the future -- when and where????? Not sure about that.;):)

Just wait long enough and eventually someone who is on the Internet will produce one and post a picture. Heck, wait long enough and we can all afford our own.
