OK, Its Time!!!

Ok so, its about time that I get for reals, and serious here.

As you all know, I have been doing PL Exotics on my pictures.

But time for a website is upon us and SOMEONE (ie Jimi) doesnt like www.plexotics.com! LOL

I actually think its kinda cool, but ya know......:oops:


So what do you think?

If you told me (or more importantly, if I over heard you say) your business was called "PL Exotics" at a show or in a pet store and I went home and opened a browser, I would type www.plexotics.com

With www.pl-exotics.com you'll have to keep reminding people that you have a "DASH" in your web address ... when it comes to online branding and market, your website is everything and your domain name should be as simple as possible.

Exactly as he said. If someone hears about your site, or you give a card that they loose, they need to be able to remember the website easily. Short, sweet and to the point. It doesn't matter how good it sounds, if nobody can remember it, spell it, etc, then it won't do you any good.

Is it possible that you can go thru some more brainstorming first? Everyone is two letter exotics this is or reptiles that. See if you can become a little more creative and unique and have a name that people will remember and will fire the synapses a little when heard, they're not going to forget it a minute after walking away. I'm sure the first time you heard 8 ball pythons, you didn't just forget it ;). Just a suggestion, cuz I like you Patrick, I like you! :) :D ;)

Half the time I type in bp.net I end up at RDR because I forget to add the dash. I don't think you want people redirected to another site or to be unable to find yours. I would go with plexotics.com, simple and easy to remember.

i like plexotics.com or how about longreptiles.com? i think either would be easy and convenient

Personally, I think you need a name that is more easily remembered. And I think "Exotic" has been overused.

just a word of advice, dont post your domain name you want. Users can buy that domain and resell it for a higher price, called domain flipping ;)

Ditto what Adam says. I have a good memory for "words" when it comes to websites but really have a hard time if there is a symbol and where it goes. I went with www.plexotics.com

(BabyEars is cute tho!!)

At first reading plexotics makes me think plexiglass manufacture or something - but I can see how it would work better for the verbal usage of the word :rolleye2: I'm not help.

i like the name but for some reason it just comes to mind as perhaps an adult club or escort service lol

Yea, NP It really sucks when someone steals your domain name, it happens all the time tho, that's why you shouldn't post it. I do have a little secret that I will pm you about and maybe it will happen for you!
