    How to cut?
This is my first year breeding and I have 2 clutches. 1 is on day 53. I am thinking about cutting and I have read a bunch of good posts but I think it would be beneficial if some experienced breeders chimed in here and compiled some tips in 1 thread for a sticky (maybe).

    Soooo get to it :)

Today was day 53 for me, and i cut mine. It was pretty easy, you just have to be gentle.

I incubated at 88.9* first clutch ever* three little babies, lookin good. Cant wait to see what they all look like once they finally decide to come out. Hopefully all will be well with them.

I just cut my 5 egg mojo clutch, but I can't really see 3 of the patterns. From the 2 I could see I saw a mojo and what looks like a pastel, but it's probably a normal that just needs a couple more days for all the pigment to come in. They should be out Wed. or Thurs.

    Thanks. You too.
After hearing how MBM manipulates his eggs I'm sure I could poke around and find out what's in there, but I'm still too scared to go messing with them. It's going to be a long couple of days. It sucks that 3 of them are in a possition where I can only see the bottom of theie sides, and the light colors aren't giving anything away.

Do you count the days after the day the snakes lockup or when the eags are laid?

From the time the eggs are laid. People have gotten clutches of eggs almost a year after the female was last bred. My 1st clutch with the same incubation temps hatched on day 56. This is day 53 for this clutch of eggs, and the female that laid them was last bred in January, I believe.

Good luck!! I usually wait until one has pipped, then I cut the rest.

Nice odds. Start posting some pics as they all emerge. All these threads about mojo hatchlings is making it really hard to wait for my 1st mojo clutch to come out. I only check the eggs once a week if that, but when it gets down to the wire I'm in there every couple of hours with my fingers crossed that I see heads peeking out. I have 1 clutch that should be out in the next day or two, and another 18 mojo eggs that should start hatching in about 8-9 days and into September.

So, some of them poked their heads out and then pulled them back in....that's ok? Also, how long should I leave them in the incubator after they come out of the egg?

Mine stay in the incubator until they've all hatched - in the same eggbox.

I actually put my clutches into an shoebox with damp paper towel (one clutch per shoebox) back into the incubator until they had their first shed (one week later). Then they were separated into their own shoebox and offered their first meal a week after their shed.

Thanks Robin! Why do you put them back in? They don't need the cool side until they start eating? Do you leave the temp at around 90?
