Re: Some pics and ???'S
What a beautiful snake!! :D
If the tank were mine, I would not place it in a window due to the drafts and sunshine coming right in and messing with the stability of the temps and humidity in the tank ;)
Here is a great post on setting up tanks for ball pythons: http://www.ball-pythons.net/forums/s...ad.php?t=56846. This ought to give you a lot of ideas and pointers :gj:
Cute bunny!

Cute bunny!
Yes Instead of him being by the window, i was gonna swap him and the couch and move him onto an exterior wall, and also thought about covering three sides with like brown paper ??
thank you for the compliments, he was way mistreated by the previous owner, im so excited that i now am looking at getting a baby to experience the full spectrum of BP's

Re: Some pics and ???'S
Yes, lots of people with tanks advise that ;)
Two members, Argentra and Butters420, are really helpful with explaining tanks set-ups to people and I'm sure they'll chime in. I have my snakes in racks systems and cages, which is why I offered the link to glass set-ups to get you going :)

Re: Some pics and ???'S
The rabbit's name was Oolong, and he was among the very first internet memes (phenomenons).
You can read about Oolong at Wikipedia if you like.

Agentra helped me a ton with my tanks, He gave me full pictorial instructions for modifications that are very cheap... now I have perfectly regulated tanks....

I'm a 'she' dear. :D
Yes, I would recommend moving the tank away from that window ASAP and get it covered on three sides. Also, you might want to add a bit of decor for the snake to hide amongst in addition to two identical and close fitting hides.
That top is interesting...homemade? And is it wood? If so, it might not be that good for a BP tank since they need 50-60% humidity at all times and 70% during sheds. That humidity can warp a wood top creating openings. Just saying... :)

Yeah, its wood, cheap wood at that. I really like how good i made it, but i was thinking about just getting a replacement sheet and making sure its pressure treated. as far as warping goes though, itll have to lift it off of a heavy bead of industrial sstrength liquid nails lol

I highly recommend you replace it with either a plexiglass top or a screen top foil treated. Even pressure treated wood can warp or split with constant moisture unless it's totally sealed with Polyurethane. And I've heard that the chemicals they use in pressure treated stuff can be harmful if they leach out. For safety sake, and ensuring no future escapes, I would scrape off that liquid nails and change that lid. :D Just my :twocents: though.
And I doubt they ever will, Starmom. ;)

Re: Some pics and ???'S
I would also be careful of the rocks you have in there. Unless they are permenatly attached, I would be afraid of the snake going between the rocks and lifting one off the other causing the top one to fall down on top of him. I have rock type hide and my bp just decided to pick it up and relocate it last night. I am seriously thinking of changing my hids out for that reason...I just fear that it sits down on top of her and she gets hurt, although I'm probably overreacting a bit with the hide.
