so it hit me at 2:18 in the morning

so being a collage student, i have an abundence of beer cans sitting around my room and i thought it would be such waste to throw the away, and then i got an idea, and i went to walmart to gather some supplies, i will say this, it envoles my bp and her 40 gallon tank, heres a pic of most of the supplies, i should have the rest after my partying this weekend

Exessive drinking and snakes = BAD IDEA when together.

Please don't drink and try to handle your animals, they are very keen on smell and movement and you may freak them out.

I'm sorta nervous to see what you have going... I hope whatever you do you wash the cans?

so the glue didnt hold, any1 know a good way to glue aluminum cans together?

try E6000, i think that's what it's called. You can get it from stores like hobby lobby. Supposedly, they used it to glue a car to the roof, and it held, but I was just told that story, I don't know how true it is.

Sand the spots you're gluing and the goop should work.

that would explain the alcohol, glue, and idea.

JB Weld should hold it. Should fuse the cans together.

epoxy maybe?

or gorilla glue.

i think the best way to hold them together would be to punch some holes (maybe 2) in each can where you are joining them, then put a dowel through the holes and glue it together.

I really wanna know as well ... But you haven't told us! So I will guess.. .you must either want build some kind of tank decor from cans ... and obviously just please don't leave any edges exposed... I guess I shall make a prediction and say its going to be some type of enclosure made mostly out of beer cans. Is the great stuff for filling in all of the small holes between the cans?? maybe the caps are for edging/decoration? Im really curious :gj:

so goop was a bad idea, as i was aqueezing he tube it busted out of the back of the tube and got all over my blue jeans. in my rage i preceded to take the off, wall outside, and set them on fire... ive got pcs of them buring that ill post later

Are you going to fill the cans with the great stuff for insulation and then glue the cans together to put around your enclosure? Sort of like an "Earth Ship".
