Re: POLL: What was your success rate in 2007?
It was over 100% because I got a surprise clutch out of a rescue female, hehe. ;)

Re: POLL: What was your success rate in 2007?
I lost a full clutch last year due to incubator error.
8 eggs.. :tears:
So not 100%... More like 80%.

Re: POLL: What was your success rate in 2007?
Bred 4 girls
Got 3 clutches - 8, 7, and 5 eggs.
100% hatch rate.

Re: POLL: What was your success rate in 2007?
I was 100% for last year..... of course it's not nearly that impressive when I only went for 1 clutch. All 6 eggs did hatch, and are eating machines.

Re: POLL: What was your success rate in 2007?
I only bred one female last year and she did not produce... 0%!
This year is looking much better already. :)

Re: POLL: What was your success rate in 2007?
I paired up two females and only witnessed 2 locks. I stopped breeding trials because I thought I would be moving. Both ended up having fertile clutches and all the eggs hatched :D

Re: POLL: What was your success rate in 2007?
2 females both produced for me last year, the prooven breeder had 8 eggs 8 hatched and the first time girl had 5 eggs 1 had to be drained whilst still inside her and one went bad the other 3 hatched great so not bad for my first year with balls

Re: POLL: What was your success rate in 2007?
Here was mine:
-Normal female x Pastel male 1: 8 out of 8 eggs hatched successfully. 6 Pastels, 2 Normals.
-Normal female x Pastel 2: 4 out of 4 eggs hatched successfully. 1 Pastel, 3 Normals.
-Normal x Normal: lost the entire clutch (first one of the year) when my crappy Hovabator crashed and cooked the eggs after a power outage. Lost 8 eggs that had candled well and were promising. learned.. made my incubator myself using Flexwatt, a Helix, and styro cooler.. got the great hatchlings above.

Re: POLL: What was your success rate in 2007?
Well for me it kinda so far so good. I have a cluth of 4 and another of 7 in the incubator. I have anothe 3 that are gravid, I think out of 12 that I attempted. This is only my second season with balls but next year I will have potentially 35-40 females that will be ready so I need all the experiance I can get.:D

Re: POLL: What was your success rate in 2007?
I said 80% - 100%
I attempted 11 girls 10 became gravid. 9 have successfully laid their clutches without mishap. I am waiting on the 10th to drop her clutch (bred her late) and the 11th fooled me (I mistook a building for ovulation).
10 Clutches hatched successfully of varying numbers and 2 hatchlings lost.
Clutches comprise::gj:
Albinos
Pastels
Mojaves
1 Bumblebee
1 Pewter
a few Normals
Paradox (deceased)
Pastel (deceased)

Re: POLL: What was your success rate in 2007?
I'd say I'm in the low 40's as per females bred to females that laid. Keep your eye out for the great snow storm on 08/09 though!

Wow, sounds like you had a very nice year. Sorry to hear about the two that were deceased. I actually had 90% rate. I bred 3 males two 10 females and received 9 viable clutes.

Can't wait. I loved it on days that it snowed. I would come home to a ton of locks.

Re: POLL: What was your success rate in 2007?
I am not sure what season you are refering to, but for the 07/08 season, I belive we are 61% (I have to go back and check the number that we bred). I think we are sitting at 45 clutches from 73 females bred.

Re: POLL: What was your success rate in 2007?
I went into breeding with the notion that I wasn't going to produce more than 7 clutches a season figuring roughly 50 offspring was about all I wanted to deal with. This was really the first year we dug ourselves and bred and overall we did better than I expected.
We decided we'd breed 10 females -- hoping to hit our goal of 7 clutches. Of that 10 we got 9 clutches -- all good eggs all healthy babies so far (knock on wood). We also had a few smaller but older girls that we paired off once or twice later in the season and we got clutch from one of them as well. So in all we went a little over our 7 clutch limit -- and hit (I guess) about 80-90% of our breedings. We also had three ladies here on breeding loan that successfully reproduced as well. I do think we had quite a few more low fronts hit the west coast this season than normal which I think played a big part.

Re: POLL: What was your success rate in 2007?
We tried 5 females this year...got 3 clutches (possibly a 4th is brewing). Out of those 3 clutches we produced 18 eggs which all hatched successfully - 17 perfect hatchlings, 1 with a slight kink (she was in a boob egg).

Re: POLL: What was your success rate in 2007?
We had three clutches this year. clutch sizes were 9,10, and 3 eggs. the first cluch hatch at 100% and the other two clutches are still in the bator cooking at day 41 and 33. In the 10 egg clutch all eggs were fertile at lay but one of them turned bad about day 35 the veins started to die off but so far it all goes well we will have 21 healthy hatchling in a few weeks. Not to shabby for three cluches. I believe both female that laid the 9 and 10 eggs clutches are both around 9+ years old and old birthing records from the 10 egg clutch mom said she had laid 13 the year prior but half slugged out. Anyways I would say we had a great year so far and hit 7 pastels out of the first clutch of 9 and six were female so i cant complain even with the one bad egg i would say so far a success rate of 99.9999%:D

Re: POLL: What was your success rate in 2007?
I bred 3 girls and had 3 clutches. 17 eggs and 1 slug. One clutch is still in the incubator due 9/11. All eggs still looking good.
