any earlobe stretchers?
I want to stretch mine; not that big, but a little. I looked at some jewelry that Mark has (his are around the width of a #2 pencil; not sure of the gauge!) I was also thinking of getting an Indistrial, if I could gave the guts! Anyone have knowledge in this? My hubby tattoos, but his friend at the shop pierces really well, and would just do them for free.
I want mine to be fairly small, not huge.

Re: any earlobe stretchers?
youd just keep upping the size of the hole with different gauges every few weeks.
You are talking about plugs right?
-
Re: any earlobe stretchers?
Yea.. I like the half-circle type things too (that looke like a half-moon.) I wouldn't want the metal ringe with nothing inside the hole though.

Re: any earlobe stretchers?
My friend had these wicked little crescents that looked like devil's horns. They were about the size of a number 2 pencil. Pretty awesome.
I got my tongue pierced, but I'm such a wuss when it comes to tats. I don't know that I could deal with that. LOL, pierce me, just dont draw on me! :8

Tats feel like someone is dragging a pen through your skin... I would think a tongue piercing would be much worse!
I hate needles and i have a tattoo :)

Yea, everyone says that, but I'm a big wuss I tell ya! The tongue wasn't bad at all. I was talking normal after 1 day of ice sucking lol. I'd do it again! Just... I have really sensitive skin nerves lol...
Oh yea... tongue piercings aren't for everyone... some of my friends have the worst lisp and speech impediments now!

Re: any earlobe stretchers?
my tongue wasnt even sore, the sorest my tongue got was when i stretched that! its at an 8g now

Re: any earlobe stretchers?
Tattoos I can handle. Getting one on my anklebone, prepared me for almost anything I think :)
I know that some people get a "dermal punch" and I see that as cutting to the chase. I want to stretch mine without doing that. :)Thanks for the words of wisdom. I wish I had the guts to get my bottom lip pierced! My friend has that, and it is just so cool looking.. but I am sticking to ears for now. I geuss that it might take awhile. I only have "normal" pierced ears for now..
-
Re: any earlobe stretchers?
One of my employees has five tongue piercings. And honestly I didn't notice them until a few weeks ago when we were talking after work. She hates needles but she said she just really wanted some. She's got the cresent moon type plugs in her ears, that's the extent of her modification.
I had a nose piercing until I removed it because I was tired of messing with it. Now I want it back :( My ears are normal pierced and I do want a tat or two if I can talk my hubby into it. :)
Wanted to add after seeing your last post Jen. I've never been one for lip piercings but we have this customer, very conservative type girl and she has her lower lip pierced in the center. She has a simple ring with a single small ruby (yes ruby) in the center and I can't believe I'm saying this but it looks classy. But alas, I like my lips in one piece. Besides, it might interfere with my chapstick addiction.

Re: any earlobe stretchers?
I have had 4 ga in my ears for about three years now and they do close up if you leave them out! I was told that after 2-0ga you will still have a hole even after having them out for a long time.
-
Re: any earlobe stretchers?
I was thinking about getting a second tongue piercing... May have to do that lol.
-
Re: any earlobe stretchers?
I can take mine out for days, and still put them back in
it kinda looks like a cats but with no plug in them

I'm at 7/8 and I also suffer from the dreaded cat butt syndrome.

Re: any earlobe stretchers?
I'm at a 0 guage and will most likely not go any bigger. I had 00 a few years ago, tried to let them close up for awhile before I got married, I got them pretty close to normal and was able to wear normalish earrings, large front and large backed. Then guaged them back out after.
-
Re: any earlobe stretchers?
i think all chicks should have guaged ears...its hot!
-
Re: any earlobe stretchers?
That's the one thing that draws me back; not being able to really wear normal earrings. I might just get a few more normal holes going up my ears. Yikes, it is a debacle! It's my old-fashioned, ladylike side wanting to be able to wear "normal" antique earrings. Vs my metal-loving rebel side. Ouch!

Re: any earlobe stretchers?
Yeah; I was always one who actually liked when KISS, Metallica, and other bands combined themselves with symphonies to play awesome tunes. That's why I am such a fan of Cradle of Filth I think. Who said that chamber music had to be goody-two-shoes? :)
-
Re: any earlobe stretchers?
Nope, I'll stick with my tongue and ears. Tats now thats a diff story.:D
-
Re: any earlobe stretchers?
The way my friend did it was just guage a little bit, and then she had smaller regular holes going up her ears. It was really good looking, and she doesn't guage really big anymore, but she does like to wear larger than normal earrings once in a while.

Re: any earlobe stretchers?
A friend of mine has "snake bites" on his lower lip. Two spikes a little off center. Looks awesome. I don't think I'll ever get them for practical purposes.
-
Re: any earlobe stretchers?
I just took my snake bites out :(

Re: any earlobe stretchers?
I just graduated with my BS and I felt like the employers were looking at ME not my QUALIFICATIONS when interviewing! IDK
-
Re: any earlobe stretchers?
My rings are 1/2" but due to the weight they have stretched a lot more.
I started gauging my lobes about 2 years ago. I go slowly just because.
I just get a size larger than my current ones and lube the rings up and shove them in....no big deal ;)

Yeah, one of my main reasons for not having them. Unfortunate. I've had my tongue for a little over a year and my parents and employer still havn't noticed it.

I have to disagree. Now surface corsets are hot. Especially up the sides. I've had almost everything pierced including some surface piercings, but the only one I still have is a vertical labret. I'm thinking about doing some badass surface piercings though. Maybe my wrists and under my throat. I do piercings so I can play around like that.

First you get the khakis, then you get the job, then you get the mods. :)

okay, i thought maybe that's what it was but wasn't sure. i've only actually seen it once and this girl had it between her shoulder blades getting narrower as it went down so it was like a triangle... and it was really wide ribbon... i wasn't very impressed. but that link is pretty hot looking!

Re: any earlobe stretchers?
Wow.. that corset looks just awesome.
My husband has a bunch of things pierced that he takes out. He has his tongue done but doesn't wear it. He also had his libret (am I spelling that wrong? I am such a bad tattooist's wife!) septum, nose, eyebrow, ears x 3. He had his nipples done, but took them out. Ouch.. that I would never get!
-
Re: any earlobe stretchers?
That corset pic does look awesome. This thread is making me want to pull out the supplies and do some surface piercings. I wanted to get an ampallang, but my girlfriend freaked out. I don't think I would want to do that one myself though.

Argh! My friend's husband has one of those. If I were a guy, I do not think that this is something I could fathom getting! You've got guts..
I think that the Monroe piercing looks really pretty on certain girls. I also have noticed that nose piercings (on the nostril) are pretty-much widespread and accepted more in society now. I see professionals at my job (office building, pretty dressy most of the time) sporting them..

Re: any earlobe stretchers?
If you're still wondering about the industrial.. I've got mine done! But I've also got my lobes stretched to a 0.. random cartilage.. tragus.. 5 navel rings (only using 2 now though).. nips (never ever again).. and had my sternum done (also never again.. it was gorgeous the 8 months it lasted though). I also have my tongue done, and used to have my eyebrow.. both didn't hurt :]
Anywho! Industrial! Mine honestly really hurt. The top hole was perfectly painless, but when he went to do the bottom hole, it was a searing pain, and as he pushed the needle through, my ear decided to fold over into a pointy elf ear. That was funnn.. haha. So the piercer had to pretty much re-allign and redo the bottom one.
Afterwards, the pain went away because it was so gorgeous!
But later that night.. and the following almost a year afterwards.. I had a heckuva time trying to sleep on that side. Burning pain each morning. Maybe it was just my ear being wonky, but finally last year it healed up all nice, and I don't have a single issue anymore. It wasn't the piercer's fault either, he's done every one of my piercings and I trust him 110%... it was just a freak thing that my ear decided to turn elf during the process. *shrug*
If you do want it.. go for it! Just think it through.. don't get it on the side you talk on the phone with, or sleep with. :]
I don't regret any piercing at all!

Re: any earlobe stretchers?
My ears have shrunk down to a 6 guage but I had em at a 2 for 6 months or so and took em out for weeks and a 6 was all that fit. The first time I stretched I went from a 14 to a 6 and tore both my lobes. They healed and Ive stretched em and let em shrink many times, never again tearing em though, way to easy for infections. Ive had 11 different piercings total. Boths cartilages(no longer have), both lobes (2 in left lobe), tongue, libret, side of my lip, nip(no longer have, wouldnt recomend either, too easy to tear out and leaves the nips deformed a little), I even pierced the extra skin between my thumb and index finger(had it for 2 months and my body actually pushed it out on its own) and 1 more I shouldnt mention were cuz of the kiddies on this site. The most painful I would say was my cartilages by far, I had em for a year and they were still sore and I hurt to lay on em and I was getting tired of waking up at night cuz my ears hurt so I took em out. My job doesnt let me wear any of them but my ears and tongue, I dont think theres any reason why I shouldnt just wear all of them since Ive got dragon tattoes on both my forearms that are clearly visible.
Id say get the piercings. Piercings and tats are HOTT!!!!!!!!

Re: any earlobe stretchers?
I have mine stretched to a 6 and will probably stop here. I was going to go up to a 0, but I paid too much for my 6ga rings, so I stopped for a while, now I'm not sure I want to go any bigger cuz of the job thing. Honestly, if you want to do it, go for it. To echo someone's earlier post, go up one size at a time, lube up and go for it. Either that or use a stretcher like the one below. Just again, use lubricant so you don't tear your lobes...

Re: any earlobe stretchers?
I have mine gauged to 12mm. I did it all natural also. It hurts but only a few days with the worst pain the first day till the swelling goes down. Its not that bad though. I am about to do it again with my 2nd earholes but only to around a 4g. I think its worth it because I love the earrings ;)

Re: any earlobe stretchers?
I see this is an old thread but I just wanted to ask - I've wanted to get my lip pierced for AGES but never have for two reasons: A- because of WAY too many years of braces, my lips don't close or come together naturally. They are forever open just a tad so that you can see a tiny bit of my teeth. I hate it, and I think it would be stupid to put a ring through something I hate. B- I'm afraid I won't be able to get a respectable job. I'll be graduating college soon, and figure now's not the time to go tearing up my face.
Anyone have any opinions or suggestions? I've also wanted what's been called a "maddison piercing" which is basically a lower throat piercing. But my boyfriend hates body mods and I think they're SO hot. I'm stuck between my opinions and his. :tears:
-
Re: any earlobe stretchers?
Didn't follow the whole thread... so my apologies if this is repeated info...
I had my lower lobes stretched an inch and a half and all my mid lobes and upper ear piercings strteched to a 4 ga.
You don't have to worry about the cat's asterik syndrome, once you take them out they shrink back if you haven't had them scalped.
One of the reasons I stopped was that all my piercings were infringing on each other, and if I didn't scalplel them I would have kept having recurring probs.
I had both my conchs pierced. But if you want to stretch them they are a beach. I would recommend having them punched at whatever ga you want to end up with, as the cartliledge is pretty unforgiving and doesn't stetch (it splits).
Same with moving up a gauge... I would recommend 6 weeks minimum b/w size increments. Moving too fast will result in infection, split skin, etc.
Just my 2 cents.
Bruce
I stopped at 25 facial piercings and am down to a mere 2... one is each upper ear.

I like the cleft piercing, I dont know if they call it that, but it's below the lips in the cleft of your chin. It 'shouldnt' go below your teeth, but i have always thought it was really hot. It's not in the lip, but its a nice compromise.
A lower throat piercing may be the way to go if you don't want employers to look at you different. I work for a large, LARGE company with a very professional dress code. They would not tolerate any face piercings, except the nose piercing. The nose is so popular these days with woman on any level.
-
Re: any earlobe stretchers?
Never heard of throat piercings being called anything except tracheal piercings... although that is a misnomer.
Maybe it depends on how far down it is.
I think my fav are the nape piercings (back of the neck) and if I ever wanted to be entirely self-indulgent I would get my uvula pierced.
And before anyone misreads that... "the small, fleshy, conical body projecting downward from the middle of the soft palate." In other words that dangly thing in the back of your throat.
Connie...
Not sure how popular it is right now, but there were some piercers that were working in chin piercings... that went in the front and came out the bottom. The jewelery is at a 90 degree angle (curved). You get the piece on the cleft... and then a nice pointy dagger (etc) coming out the bottom.
Love that one. :)

Re: any earlobe stretchers?
That one is awesome, I just don't know if I could deal with the pointy part, I would have to learn to sleep on my side LOL. I like to sleep smothered in my pillow. :D
I want the one that starts in the lip and come out under the lip just like what you described.
I found the exact pic!

I wouldn't mind having her hair color either :)

Re: any earlobe stretchers?
Cool. I am going to get some itty-bitty jewelry to start stretching, this weekend. I know a little about ear pain. I got mine pierced at 14 by someone with a "gun" at the mall.. they closed up and I had to re-do them myself around age 18. Now they are good to go.. but I want to stretch a little.
Are you talking about a Labret (said like la-bray) piercing Connie? Those are really nice on women.. my friend has one. She can wear a ring that either goes around her bottom lip on the outside, or comes out as a spike facing down toward her chin. Thus, it is a versatile piercing!
