What do you think about Petrino flat out quiting?? Couldn't even finish a season. What a team player.

well, i'm not robin but i think it's pretty lame. i mean come on, there are only 4 games left of the regular season--you wouldn't think that would be so hard to stick it out for. it's not like he was gonna have to worry about any more games after that.

Kinda like people dropping out of high school with, like, 4 days of their senior year left before graduation..

if you look at his resume... he never stays anywhere for more than a year unless that team is winning.

What message does that send to the team about dedication?

Re: ATTN: Rabernet
Sorry, just saw this. Honestly? I wanted him to be let go anyway. But I think it really speaks to his lack of character that he quit in the manner that he did.
He called a staff meeting that lasted all of 10 seconds to say "just thought I'd let you know I'm resigning - thanks!" and walked out. Called Arthur Blank - didn't give him the decency of a face to face and left a letter for the players.
When Warrick Dunn is willing to speak out against you with his reaction, that's saying something - one of the most moral and upstanding guys on the team.
From what I've read, this is Petrino's modis operandi.
I say good riddance! What doesn't kill us makes us stronger. I'm still a Falcons fan through and through.

Tell me about it - he told his players after their loss on Monday night that they all needed to take a hard look in the mirror to determine what they were made of and come back ready to work on Wednesday. Guess he figured he was made of silly putty.
