What morph is in my pied snakes
I bought a pied female a few years ago. I thought her cooler looked special. Around the edge of her colored patches was a thin line of orange and yellow. I bred her to an enchi fire het pied male and hatched a clutch of eggs. I got one pied that has bright yellow and orange blotches with typical dark markings inside. One high white pied, one pied that has thin lines of orange and yellow around the pied color patches and some het pieds that I sold. I don’t find a common morph that looks like this snake. It appears to have been greatly enhanced when I added the fire gene. Thoughts?

I think pictures would help us answer that. If you haven't already found this thread > > > https://ball-pythons.net/forums/show...-Post-Pictures

The high white is most likely Enchi Pied (poss Fire) because Enchi tends to dramatically increase the amount of white. As far as the other thing you are describing it's hard to know without seeing a picture. Pastel can do that, but some regular Pied have lines like that too. Enchi, Fire, OD, YB and many more can increase the amount of orange in the pattern.

Yeah. It's not intuitive. You have to follow the instructions in the thread.

Here is the mother of the snakes. She is mature in this photo but if you blow up the photo she still has some orange and yellow around the edge of her colored patches.

My best guess is mom is just Pied with really nice coloring.

Looks like top one is Pied and the lower two are Enchi Fire Pied but without good head shots its hard to tell for sure what the bottom one is since there isn't much pattern or color elsewhere to go off. As strong as the head stamp is and as high white as it is, I'm fairly certain though.

Thank you, do you think it maybe yellow belly as well? That could be making the middle snake so yellow/orange? I can post head shots of both later tonight

YB makes pretty dark oranges in Pied instead of bright oranges like it does in other combos. The dam does not appear to have YB or she would be much darker. If the middle baby had YB along with fire and enchi, the orange would be insanely bright. Middle and bottom would probably look the same if bottom wasn't so high white. I can't see the little patch on the tail on bottom, is it pretty normal looking?

Hmm. It's very small, but there is definitely a lot darker color there than the other so maybe there isn't Fire after all. The headstamp looks a lot less strong in the newer pic, so many the lighting in the first made it seem brighter or it's fading already.
