Favorite video games? (For Gamers)
I've hit a new low in games: I honestly don't have any games to purchase. So I've come to you guys to see if there's any games I could try out:D To all of my gamers, what are your favorite games? Your fairly new/recent ones? Favorite games growing up?
For newer ones, I'd say my favorite recent games would be The Walking Dead Series, Outlast, Until Dawn, Need For Speed, A Way Out, and Cuphead. My favorite older games would probably be Left 4 Dead (1 and 2), Portal (1 and 2), and Minecraft (lol). Games growing up would be Pokemon, Sonic, and Zelda.
Anybody else relate?:)

Nice to see another gamer familiar with Left 4 Dead! I've been playing it recently with a friend and the game still holds up well! I've been meaning to give A Way Out a try! How do you like it?
Favorite games are Bloodborne, Silent Hill 2, Heroes of the Storm and Zelda Skyward sword. Though honestly I love all the Zelda games as I've grown up with them. Breath of the Wild, Twilight Princess, Ocarina of Time being my top favs! Most Pokemon games too. I still have a soft spot for older jrpgs like Final Fantasy and Legend of Dragoon.
Lately I've been giving Fortnite Battle Royal a spin. I'm not great at it but I feel I'm obligated to try since my husband works at Epic Games :P

Re: Favorite video games? (For Gamers)
Im sorta in the same boat as you. The video industry lost its creativity. All these years later and most gamers still just want to play call of duty and battlefield. I think they are just casuals that don't really care.
But for me right now i playing pubg, morrowind on pc, my mini super and normal nes and i just got back in to fallout 4.
And I miss left 4 dead. I don't know why they can't or won't make a L4D3. New setting, new cast of characters, some new guns and some new zombies and boom there yah go.

Ah, gosh I know!! Valve should really consider remastering Left 4 Dead, especially with all the new tech stuff in the gaming industry, it'd be so sweet! Man, imagine how much they'd sell XD I just started playing it recently too
A Way Out is fun as hell! The gameplay actually ends up being funny; I don't know how many times I died laughing because of some alternative activities you can do with your co-op buddy, so it's really super fun! I highly recommend it:D
I have yet to finish Ocarina of Time on my Nintendo 64. I've only played Fortnite a few times, and let's just say I was that one noob who tried surviving by hiding XD

Nice seeing another gamer who could relate. The Sonic and Forza games don't seem interesting at all at this point. Forza and most other racing games are almost the same every new game, just a few new cars and somewhat better HD graphics. I really liked Life is Strange and the first 2 seasons of The Walking Dead, but the newer stuff for Life is Strange hardly held any meaning and interest. The 3rd season of TWD lost me, but I hold high hopes for season 4 that was just released.
-
I really love games like Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy!
I've also played a lot of Left 4 Dead 2, Undertale, Pokemon, Ace Attorney, Legend of Zelda, Fire Emblem, Rune Factory, Persona 5, Dragon Age, etc.
I recently moved out of the country and stupidly forgot to bring my 3DS...at least I can use Steam on my laptop but I'm still kicking myself.
-
My all time favs are the Assassins Creed Ezio trilogy games.. I played each of them at least 5 times through LOL. I also love Skyrim.
Shadow of the Colossus and Okami are also awesome, and I guess they're considered classics too?
Kinda universal games I always loved are pokemon, super smash bros, kirby games, digimon world DS, and animal crossing new leaf.
I also love open world MMO's with big social features but mmo's always come and go... Ones I really got into back in the day were Perfect World International (they totally revamped it and it's pretty much a dead game now) and Tera (also a dead game).

Yeah sonic is dead but I think they have one or two classic style new sonic games. I don't like forza either. The only racing game I adored and loved was project gotham racing. And sorry im not familiar with tell tale games and life is strange. I think life is strange looks good I might check it out. Based on the games you play one I can recommend is gone home. I own it but haven't played it yet but it looks interesting.

I'm honestly too poor to buy games, but I'm sticking with my favorite old-but-gold game, TF2. It's just so fun, I played 22 hours straight once and I didn't even get bored once xD

South Korea for school! I'll be gone for 6 months to 2 years but definitely not permanently. Thankfully my mom adores Winry and has been taking excellent care of her. (She even talked about potentially getting herself a boa in a few years- this is coming from someone who used to hate snakes and not understand the appeal of having one!) Otherwise, I wouldn't have gone because I would never get rid of one of my pets- so this is just a temporary thing. I would have loved to take her but shipping f/t rats would be expensive plus I don't think my roommates would be cool with having a bunch of frozen rodents in our tiny freezer. Maybe if I get a studio I can bring her here- I miss her a lot!
I'm hoping that I will be able to visit the states again soon because although I'm enjoying my time in Seoul I do miss home too!

Dang!! I didn't know that!! Good for you, that sounds like an outstanding opportunity. I'm glad to hear Winry is in good hands though. And I'm glad we still get to see you on the forum. Best of luck! I hope this experience is one of the best of your life.

Lol, the best sonic racing game was racing transformed. That new one coming out is just plain racing with only sonic characters, while the other one lets you transform and play as all the other sega characters. No hope in any other good games from them based on what they've been making recently. The new classic one was Sonic Mania
You should definately check out Life is Strange, the plot is pretty dang good and it's so intriguing to play! The Prequal to it is okay, just don't really buy into the second one
Yeah, I love interactive games XD But I certainly will! Thanks for the recommendation :D

I actually took an interest in Okami a while back. I saw the trailer for it through Xbox One and it looked awesome! But what on earth is it about? XD

Hahaha, I just don't know many gamers who are into sports games. I'm not a gamer myself, but I do enjoy playing some sports games here and there. I'm still playing Madden 2016, NHL 2015 and Tiger Woods Golf 2013 on PS3, hahaha. Those were the newest versions of those games at Game Stop. Hahaha!
But I'm probably older than most of you. My first console was IntelliVision. I bet some of you never heard of that console.

You stand correct. I can also relate to not knowing any gamers who play sport games. Personally, I'm not into them. But hey, every gamer has their taste:D
-
Witcher 3 Wild Hunt - Resident Evil 7 - Assassins Creed Origins - Tom Clancy's Division in that order
Over the years I had everything from Atari 2600 (the original and yep I am that old) to Game Boy, NES, Playstations, PSP, Wii, NDS and now I have an Xbox One S , the game I miss the most is God Of War
-
Wolfenstein, Assissins Creed Origins, Far Cry 5, God of War. Just grabbed Tomb Raider. Wow never thought there was any gamers on here. Nice to know.

Hahaha, yup! It would be a boring world if we all liked the same things!!
I've tried, GTA, Assassins Creed, Halo, Resident Evil and a few more I got from my brother. I just couldn't get into them.
But that's me. :D
Enjoy, my friends!!!!

Re: Favorite video games? (For Gamers)
The Dragon Age series is one of my favorites of all time - I've played all three of them over 150+ hours each. I like the Mass Effect games as well, but Dragon Age is what I always go back to.
Love all the Assassin's Creed games and currently playing Origins off and on. I didn't play the Witcher 3, but I watched my husband play and loved the game. The story was enjoyable enough to follow. I'm also a big fan of Oblivion and Skyrim - Skyrim on the VR for PS is freakin fun! Also enjoy the Grand Theft Auto games... they're good for stress relief lol
I loved the sonic games growing up, as well as the Spyro games. Also anything to do with flying - I'm pretty sure I played all of the Ace Combat games.
I'm currently waiting on Red Dead Redemption 2. Pre-ordered and ready...
-
I normally play RPGs and Action Adventure single player games (Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Fallout, Witcher) but currently playing tons of Overwatch and Fortnite and of course World of Warcraft (raiding progression team, got heroic Zul down last night). Been having some fun with a few PS VR games.
Looking forward to Cyberpunk 2077!

I can agree with you there; I'm really picky about games. It's hard for me to actually get into a game series nowadays, so I just end up replaying ones I already have. I'm waiting for TWD season 4 to come out on disk for Xbox One, and I've been wanting to buy Sims 4. But I've been putting my baby bp and his needs first, so I don't really have the money for a $40-50 game at the moment XD

Season 1 is a gem, I tell ya. But I've played season 2 more times than I could count. I'd say season 3 seemed so uninteresting. But any thoughts on season 4?:D

I haven’t played Season 4 yet. My son just told me the other day that it was out. I’m currently “balls deep” in State of Decay, so TWD will have to wait. Lol

I really love Witcher 3 I bought it at the same time I bought Skyrim and do not like Skyrim at all.
Witcher 3 is an amazing open world, great story line, amazing graphics you have over 400 quests, you have the primary quests, secondary quests and witcher contracts. So many characters, monsters, weapons, potions….definitely a game that will keep you entertained for HOURS.
According to ING it would take more than 200+ hours to finish if you do it all (I am not there yet)

It's fun! I wish it was more difficult though, it's a really easy game up to the final boss LOL. It's based on japanese folklore about Amaterasu the sun goddess, except she takes the form of a wolf... And just her adventures in this really cool world on regaining her powers and memories! It somewhat reminds me of Zelda games. No more spoilers past there LOL

Damn, that sounds fun! I'll most likely add that to the list of games I have yet to buy XD But it sounds pretty good:gj: I'll check it out when I can:D

Re: Favorite video games? (For Gamers)
Last thing I bought - Vampyre. Really needs a few more patches but the story isn't bad at all.
Still playing elite dangerous.
Best game so far recently is definitely witcher 3 - looks lovely and kept me happy throough both expansions. Wary of the netflix series though.

You have a pretty interesting taste in games, I must say. I also see another gamer who plays Witcher 3. Lol, I really should check it out; sounds like I'm missing out on a lot of fun XD
-
Jumping in to say that if any of y'all haven't played the Bioshock trilogy (or at least the first two), Detroit: Become Human, or the Far Cry games, y'all are missing out! :)
-
Detroit Become Human was great!
Also have Vampyre on my wish list.
I just heard TellTale games is done, meaning no more Walking Dead series, they might release chapter 2 though.
That's a shame, they were a cool company with some new ideas. I got to play test for the first season of TWD, really nice group of developers.
