there's been a couple threads on here about the Blue Ghost: 1, 2
but nothing recent.

i'd like to know if you took this pic as well.

Not my photo but I asked the owner to take it for me. They have several other photos too. Really cool looking snake.. They’re trying to prove it out and I was considering getting in on it.

If i had the funds and the time I'd go for it.

Thats insane— I’d want to see the snake in person though, or at least in live video... I remember when Mark revealed the first blue ghost, it was exciting then and still is now. Unique opportunity you are presented with if legit :D

OMG... That goes to show you that if you do your research correctly you can produce just about any kind of morph. That Blue Ghost is Stunning! I bet worth $$$...

Blue ghost do exist (not saying this is legit or not) but if I wanted to get into that project I would do so with a legitimate breeder that is known to work with that project. (Mark Petros comes to mind)

The issue with blue ghost is that they are not compatible with other major lines, only very few people work with them and the demand is not very high.

That thing looks like it’s in shed!

Neat looking animal. Wonder what it looks like when combined with lighter morphs.

Surprised there isn't much demand for them, it's slate blue!

Breeding, most commonly worked with lines are compatible Orange Ghost (NERD), Bell Hypo, Butterscotch and Hypos when paired, however if you pair 2 incompatible lines you will make DH, this is why lineage is very important when it comes to hypo and axanthic.

Double Het (heterozygous) animals, normal looking animal carrying both recessive genes.

DH are use to make Double Recessive mutations lot of work and low odds.

It makes sense that it’s not compatible with other forms of ghost/hypo because it’s so drastically different. It would definitely be its own morph all together should it be proved out and not just another line of ghost.

Hi, I’m the owner of the blue ghost and was recently made aware that the pic was posted here lol. I’ll try to attach some newer images and a video of her, she’s currently sitting at 3300g+ and gravid, bred to a GHI mojave. And for the person who said there isn’t much demand, that’s because it hasn’t proved out yet. I’ve still had some crazy offers though. So it’s legit that blue? And it’s not in shed or anything??

I just did some searching and there is a 99% chance that that pic has some filter or something making it that blue in my opinion. If it’s 100% that blue then u have something super amazing.

It’s 100% that blue, no filter (I rarely use filters on my animals and never on her). She’s actually more blue in person. If you want to email me I can send some pics and a video if I can get it to work.

Thanks! I could totally see how you’d think it was fake, I honestly had my doubts when I was going to buy it but it turned out even better than I imagined.

I have an Instagram page @8_ball_exotics where I’ll be posting pictures and updates, she’s already had an ovulation so she would have her pre lay shed in the next week.

I just produced a 11 egg perfect clutch from her, 0 slugs. This will be my first clutch ever so hopefully everything goes as planned.

Damn can't wait to see what pops out!

Can you just update us in this thread? Did the babies all hatch out ok? I'm assuming they are all hets and it will be about a year before you can put a male back to her to prove her out?

All hatched perfectly well, hit every combo and she seems to be up to a good weight to pair whenever I have my select male ready (going with a ghi mojave to hit less pins this time, and this one is showing markers). The female has a minor infection in her lip but is on antibiotics and should be doing better soon, still eating well. More frequent updates on my insta don’t check here often

Most pictures on google of the blue ghost are actual grey, not blue.

We have to be careful about the colours in pictures. The picture below was on a selling site. I was amazed to see a green ball python. but asked for more pictures in the outdoors and in the persons hand for color comparison.
When I saw the other pictures it was not green but a normal colour. This happens a lot, and often by no fault of the seller. Just the way the picture turns out.
