    Rescue- Is this a normal?
I was out metal detecting one day this summer and went to the back of my truck to put everything away and I noticed a snake balled up a little bit away from me. As I approached I knew it wasn’t a snake that belonged in the MD/WV area. I found something to carefully pick it up because I didn’t want to hurt it. As I picked it up I knew it was a BP and that someone must have pulled off the side of the road and just let it loose. I knew if I left it out there it would eventually die when the colder weather came. I didn’t think my wife would let me keep it but it’s been over 6 months and she told me several months back that I can just keep it. It seems to be very happy now and enjoying its home. I’m still trying to learn more about BP and that’s why I came here. The guy at the exotic pet store told me it was a morp but I am not sure if it is and if it is what kind is it?

I'm not seeing just a normal. Hopefully someone more experienced will help. Beautiful snake though!

I am always hesitant when replying to morph ID threads, but I must be getting better. I thought cinnamon too

Awesome story, and good on you for taking the animal in. And that's super cool your wife allowed you to keep it. My girl was scared of snakes until I encouraged her to respect them and educated her a bit. She is no longer afraid, and even handles my snakes for short periods as long as I'm close by. She allowed me ONE snake a while back and I just got my 4th, hahahaha....soooo, when are you getting your next snake?? Hahahahha....

Anyway, you've come to a great place to learn if you have any questions. This is a great community of passionate reptile lovers. Take the advice of the knowledgeable, experienced keepers and you and your beautiful BP will be in great shape.

Thank you everyone! I’ve learned a lot so far. I’m hoping his next shed is a full shed because he has yet to have one yet. It’s always been pieces flaking off and then I have to help along. I’ve kept his water changed daily just recently I’ve had problems with the humidity level but after reading a few questions on here I am hopeful to keep it up. But the other times the levels were high.
