    What Should I Get Next?
I am NOT getting another snake right now, I just want to know for the FUTURE, What do y'all think, I should get next??

I am hoping to get a job VERY soon and also it probably won't be at Petsmart, but Dollar General. -.- (Unless Petsmart calls first. lol)

I like Boas and Ball Pythons, but I also like Kingsnakes, but can't have them here, I don't think.

So, any suggestions for the future??

Please, understand this is for the future and not right now. (Plus, I just wanted to post something today. lol)

    Thank you! :D

There is a problem with that. It is illegal to be able to keep a snake that you can catch locally, at least I think that's what it said.

I have only been interested in snakes for about 6 months now, and my advice is to try and not have any plans(unless you plan on breeding) lol. I want something new every other day as I learn and find out about new species and morphs. Its a ton of fun, but its rough wanting so many things, while also maintaining a reasonable size collection. I currently have 3 ball pythons, and I already feel like I'm constantly cleaning tubs and tanks lol. Check out some western hognoses tho! They really are neat snakes! I either want a green tree python or a western hognose next. I really really want an albino super conda. I would also be happy with a super conda or a regular albino tho too.

Like I said before, I can’t get a hognose here because they are local or something. Lol

UPDATE: the link given in that thread doesnt seem to be working. However, it might be worth looking into. Easterns may be illegal, but it might be ok to have western hognoses.

So, all VENOMOUS Colubrid snakes cannot be owned in Georgia, they are illegal, soooo, that means I could get a Western Hognose. :D
So, y'all recommend a Western Hognose for the future snake?

If you already have a python, then maybe you should try a colubrid next! A Mexican Black Kingsnake is on the top of my colubrid wishlist :)

Is Nicaraguan Boa the same as Nicaraguan Dwarf Boa or are they different in some way?

I think they're both nippy as hatchlings, but I'm not sure about when they're adults

I'd say that whatever snake you want the most, that's the one that you should get next, that's what I'm planning to do! Just make sure to do a ton of research first lol [emoji23]

My next snake will probably be a Nicaraguan Dwarf Boa. Btw I might make another Thread to ask for information on Nicaraguan Dwarf Boa. So, I can start researching on them. lol

In GA, you cannot own native non-venomous snakes.. So Eastern hogs, Eastern Kings, FL Kings, Corn snakes, etc. are out. You can own Western hognose, California kings, etc. as long as they are not native species.

I would not get a hog as a second snake... the rear fanged venomous is a consideration (some people react more than others if bitten), but they are or can be very picky feeders. So picky, that I had to rehome my male to a person breeding live feeders. That said, they do have good personalities and they stay smaller than almost all boas and kings.

A dwarf locality boa would be a good choice, as they are hardy and have a good feeding response. Getting a male would ensure that it stays quite small. Other than Nicaraguans, the island boas (corn, caulker, hog) and Mexican boas (tarahumara is the smallest or Sonoran) are good options, as well as CAs (Central Americans) which are basically mutts from different Central American locations.

A Cal. King would also be an excellent second snake and they are out and about during the day, so a better "display" snake than a boa.

Thank you, again, for all the information you've gave. :D Where would you buy a Nicaraguan Dwarf Boa?

i agree w/ this. get a Colubrid. a King, Milk or Corn b/c they're wildly available and come in different morphs too. they're super easy to care for, always ready to eat. i would only recommend getting one that's well started and large enough that it's already eating at least hopper sized mice. feeding pinkies is a pain.

Not entirely true, Eastern Hognose are illegal, Western Hognose are not (most Hognose found in the pet trade are western hognose.)

That being said I do not recommend them you already seem overwhelmed and stressed with a single BP so the last thing I would do is recommend another snake or other reptile in general at the current time if in one year from now you still hang in there I will gladly revisit the question.

I wasn't getting what everyone was saying, but I understand what you are saying.
