Petco keeps animals in the store and when they have been their with out selling Corporate says blow them out with a super low price you were lucky being their at the right time, I used to work in a Petco store but not for Petco.

You should take him to the Vet. Just to be sure he's ok some blood work and a Swab from the rear end to see what the bacteria looks like as in Good or Bad, it will be well worth it...
