Desert ghost and pastel enchi?
Stopped by a local pet store and I'm thinking about getting these snakes.
Let me know what you think of the ID'S and prices please.
This one was called a male Mojave but looks more like desert ghost to me: $150 approximately 1000g

Thank you, what do you think of the prices? Fair?
Here's another shot of the 'mojave' it really looked grey in person.

I don't think desert ghost is a very realistic possibility, as that's a thousand plus dollar morph. As much as we'd like to, we just don't find gems like that at a common pet store. More likely a fire or something like that.

Relax. It's a retail store display and not representative of long term housing.

Is that a thing...? Like...they move them at night to their own spots or...?

Yes, it's a thing and, no, it's highly unlikely that they move them at night. There are many practices that we certainly wouldn't put in place in our own collections that are standard while an animal is on display for purposes of being sold. The goal of a their business is to make money - not to see their animals into retirement. :)
Re: Desert ghost and pastel enchi?
So can anybody give me their opinion on the prices?
Another reptile shop near by has a male pastel enchi for $300. Nicer yellow on him.

Price comes down to what a person is willing to pay.;)

I recommend checking out classified ads like market.kingsnake and faunaclassifieds to price-check. You'll find different quality examples of them, and determine if it's WOW enough for the money, or if you don't think it's worth it.
Re: Desert ghost and pastel enchi?
Thanks guys I appreciate your opinions. Still open to anyone who wants to take a stab at what they would be willing to pay if they were hypothetically interested based on their critique of quality. I'm looking for an opinion formed through the eyes of people who have been in this hobby longer than myself, who might see something I'm not taking into account.
At this point I'm planning to cut him down on the females prices. The yellow is not as intense as a male one I saw at a different shop.

Re: Desert ghost and pastel enchi?
The price is not off the wall i say in the range. The point is quality of morph especially if you plan on breeding at any point. I would not recommend to purchase a snake that i wasn't happy with tge way she looked
