Please help before I buy. How does he look?
I am spending my birthday money and need to know if this guy is worth the 250. I dont have that practiced eye that can see faults. I know orange will brown out. I know he doesnt have alot of yellow either but I dont have any more to spend then the 250. I am either getting him or an albino male.

I would pick him over an albino but that's me personally. You should pick whatever one you like better.

I agree, if you are going for breeding, the albino would take longer to produce visual morphs. And also, I don't think they look as good as this one!

I vote this guy! His pattern is busy but clean. I think I'd have more fun seeing how he changes as he grows. Because he's so light, he shouldn't get terribly brown anyway.

Why do you have to let him know tonight? Is he pressuring you into buying? If that's the case you may want to shop elsewhere. There are plenty more animals out here than that one. Don't let any seller force you into a sale by giving you a deadline. As far as which one to get is totally your call! If you want a opinion on market value for breeding that is something else. Stay in peace and not pieces. :gj:

Thanks so much everyone. I love the look of him but another person offered me a male albino with a het female for 275, a little over budget but I could do it.
I think the queen bee would be a great mate for my firefly and my cinnamon. But I love albinos.....AHHHH.Its all so confusing.

IMO, I would get what I could afford and save a little money for the upkeep of the animal. Also, I prefer the albino and the het over the queen bee. Shop for the wide list of albino morphs at www.worldofballpythons.com Actually almost any morph. Good luck.:gj:

I would personally go for the albino. They are all great choices, but the head wobble that can come with the spider gene just breaks my heart. Did you end up getting the albino? It seems like you did. Post pics of which ever you decide! :)

The head wobble is normally very small, and honestly doesn't seem to effect the majority of the snakes that suffer with it, even some of the ones that have it bad. I love the spider gene!

That is good to know. I think I have just seen the worst cases on YouTube. I haven't seen a spider ball in person.

Yeah, the worst case is just that, there is severity of issues as with everything. I personally think that spider is an amazing gene, brings so much into any combo! So recognisable!

Does the head wobble happen only if you breed spider to spider or does every spider born have a wobble to some degree?

I actually just paid for the Queen bee. I know eventually I will have to get an albino as well but will have to wait till next year.

It is in the spider gene, I am unsure if every single one has it, but it is a known trait associated with the spider gene. Don't breed spider to spider, can lead to a fatal mix.

Now Im worried. I didnt realize that the head wobble was that prevalent in the spider gene or I would have gone for the albinos.

All spiders have some degree of it....but in MOST spiders it's hardly noticeable. I've got a large, mature female spider and she shows only the barest of signs, and then only if you know what to look for. (She tilts her head a little to the side if you hold her up in the air) I've seen a lot of different spiders in many different places, and none of them had serious wobbling issues. Except in extreme cases, it's really nothing to worry about, and those extreme cases are very rare.

I'm with JLC, a lot of people make a big deal out of it, but in reality, it isn't as bad as people make out. From all the ones I have seen, I can't actually say I've noticed anything different, if this wasn't brought up in the thread, you most likely wouldn't have noticed it in the one you are getting now.

No need to worry in the slightest.
