An incredible case of Beginners luck!!!!
Very first... HUGE thanks to Justin Kobylka of JKobylkaReptiles for literally helping me every step of the way!! Thanks Justin!

I've never bred ball pythons (nor anything else for that matter) before, but have always been into reptiles and Ive had a few very small ball python collections that I've sold off due to lack of time, busy schedule, etc. Never really having an opportunity to breed them, though always wanting to.

Last year I got back into it, with a small collection, determined to get eggs, and hatch something (anything) out.

My first attempt at breeding was a Enchi Ghost male X Lesser Pastel Het Ghost female.

I saw a few locks between them:

Then later noticed the Lesser Pastel Het Ghost mom laying inverted: This boosted my confidence that she may have taken.

Then sometime later, I found her ON EGGS!!! I was crazy pumped!!! total of 5 eggs:

Then.. BAD news.. Highly disappointing news... 3 eggs quickly went bad.. turned brown, then mushed out. :(

The good news... 2 eggs survived! :D

A While later (I'm not sure how long as I wasn't checking her every single day looking for eggs).....

    PIPPING!!!!!!!!!

    Close up:

Ok.. Side note.. Justin @ JKR freaking knew/told me what morphs these 2 were prior to them coming out any further! JUST BY THIS PIC ABOVE!!!
    Just amazing!!!

    .

    Coming out a little further...

then... Out of the egg baby!!!!!!!!

Out of the egg... prior to washing him/her off:

    https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5531/...9eceef86_b.jpg

And the sibling out of the egg too!!!!

And finally, both of them together..

    The final result???

    ....

    Pastel Lesser 100% Het Ghost...

    And.....

Pastel Lesser Enchi Ghost ... I simply cannot believe I hit the odds on this!!!! Beginners luck!

I can't wait till there first shed!!!

That guy is INCREDIBLE! Huge congrats! SO JEALOUS!!! This is a goal of mine for probably 3 years out. If that's a male and if I were in your shoes, I'd buy a couple proven POG and Ghost adult females for next season and watch your ROI shoot for the stars!

Wow!! The odds gods were definitely with you on this!!!
    Congrats on the gorgeous babies!
Also, I LOVE Justin! He has been an amazing resource with phenomenal customer service, and funny enough the girl that laid my very first clutch of my very first season (about a week ago, 5 eggs!) is a 100% het pied girl I got from him!
Fingers crossed you get your male :D

AWESOME! My first clutch just hatched out too, but you hit way better odds with yours than I did with mine. Congrats! They're both really nice but that pastel lesser enchi ghost is a real stunner.

Edit: Also, I totally understand being afraid to pop the hatchlings. They seem so tiny and frail right out of the egg! Ralph Davis has a pretty good video on Youtube showing how to probe and pop them.

Amazing way to hit the odds! Beginner's luck indeed! And... both babies are absolutely gorgeous. Not just gorgeous morphs, but great examples of the morphs too, imo. Not that I even think I've ever seen another pastel lesser enchi ghost... but I'm 100% certain that guy (thinking positive for you here) is a great example!

Thanks everyone! They are doing great in their new tubs, temps great, humidity great. Just waiting on first sheds and the probes that arrive on Monday. I'll post results and post-shed pics of them.

Here's a cool pic of mom and baby just prior to the Lesser Pastel Het Ghost leaving the egg.

thanks! Yeah, I probably screwed up while trying to raise the humidity up high, possible costing the other 3 eggs. Or maybe they were I tittle to begin with?
But mom did awesome with maternal incubation. Really cool to watch!
