Missed the mouse, bit my hand!
I like to hand feed my snakes, and my baby normal accidentally missed his mouse on the strike, and bit my hand! It didn't hurt, and I kinda just laughed because it was cute.

He got it on the second attempt though :)

Nice, I hand feed a lot of my smaller stuff simply cause it's faster, but buy a pair tongs for your bigger stuff. It can really hurt!

How do you REALLY know if it was an accident? Maybe he wanted some brown or tan mice instead of the lame white ones you always get him, and that was his way of telling you:O.

I like to use tongs because the snake learns to associate the tongs with food and striking. Definitely don't want them to learn that behavior when they see a hand. Welcome to the club!

No they do not. They associate prey animals with food and striking.

Haha thank you. That's my 14' Lavender Tiger female "Big Baby."

She didn't tag me tho, my 14' Male Tiger "shorty" did.

And speaking of big baby, here's her mom "Big Mama" who is also in our collection. Here's what I get to look forward to with her...

I had a GTP and he could be nasty but my ATB was the devil incarnate. Haha. Beautiful snakes but ATB'S strike at everything and anything. They don't let go without outside intervention either. They both got close but never tagged me.

Haha I jinxed myself lol. My Motley het purple male is paired with my 14' Female big baby, and she inadvertently was squishing him up against the water bowl so I was trying to loosen her up off of him because she's 14' and about 65-70lbs and could easily have killed him by mistake, so while freeing him up she struck and wrapped my hand. All 14' wrapped up on one hand lol.

Walked her into the bathroom, me leaking everywhere, and ran the water in the sink and waited for the water to warm up a bit...

Then the worst part, her releasing lol. You feel every tooth pop out of your skin. And as big as she is, those are pretty decent sized teeth lol. Def went to the bone. Wasn't bad tho and barely hurt.
