    The Tri-Stripe Project
For those that do not know, Tri-Stripe is a Recessive gene. There's only a small handful of visual combos out there right now, so it's pretty much still an untapped project. Here is our 1100g perfectly-striped beast of a male...

Should have some Hets and a small handful of visuals pop out later this year. Can't wait to start mixing this guy into some of the new stuff that's out there! Please feel free to post up any Tri-Stripe stuff you guys have as well! I'd definitely like to see some pics of what ya got!

    Thanks for looking :gj:

The first thing I'm thinking is albino. But I do that with everything. I'm super excited about this gene

wow, this is awesome. i mean it, these are really new optics, no other gene or combo that i have ever seen can produce that pattern.

it seems a bit counter-intuitive, but i would first throw pattern morphs at it and see what bounces back. the first pinstripe clown and lemonblast clown were produced 2013, and they turned out to be awesome. apparently noone thought about it earlier. so dont worry about throwing in a pattern morph because it will mess up the pattern. be the first one to see how exactly it will mess up the pattern. spider tri-stripe and pinstripe tri-stripe and enchi tri-stripe and leopard tri-stripe have not been done yet. figuring out how color morphs affect it is the obvious route, i would go against the herd and throw anything that alters the pattern at it.

anyway, i really like it. its new, and promises lots of really new optics down the road.

I'd love to see how it reacts to black pastel and black platinums - imagine if we could get a 5 stripe tri-stripe. I'd call it the "Strata" :P

And totally agree with the idea of a lavender albino, candy, toffee or banana version. :pinkele:

Thank you all for the nice comments. It's a very exciting, unique project to be working with. I have to agree, just about anything will be really cool. Only if I had more adult girls for him lol... still growing up a bunch from previous years.

From conversations with others, most of the Hets have markers. I will for sure find out this year for ya if it is true or not :gj:

Thanks again everyone. Keep your thoughts coming!

I've been excited about the tri-stripe even before it was proved out. I saw a pic of the original and just loved him. I haven't been paying attention to how much they cost now though... wonder if it is getting into the range I can afford yet?
