    Finally had the escape scare...
We'll, I've had my snakes for 2 years and I knew it's bound to happen and it finally did! Last night things were already off to a weird start because Tank, my normal ball python, was cruising his tank more then usual. This morning I woke up, turned on his light, but couldn't see him in his hides. I didn't think much of it because he can easily hid in there when I first got him being an underfed rescue...but I didn't think that he's put on 200+ grams and you can always see him in there! My mom for some odd reason heads upstairs while I'm at my grandparents and doesn't see him. She searched my room and found him curled up by my wooden snake (maybe he was just lonely ;)). He's not back in his tank and warming up!

    Here's the little butt...

This is one of my fears as a new owner! Fortunately I have a small flat and the tank seems to be very secure! Glad you found him and he was safe!

The idea of that scares me so much! Our newest little guy is only 3 months old and cant do much damage yet, but our bigger guy is almost 4 ft and we have also 2 curious little cats that want to play with everything and everyone... i have this image in my head of coming home to dead fur babies cause "curiosity killed the cat" :tears:

Thankfully "the cat came back the very next day. Thought he was a goner"

Funny how they spend so much time trying to escape, then go about 6 feet and stop.

Awesome that you found him! Same thing here, super cold. Thank goodness my snakes have a loving (and forgiving) Snake Grandmother! Haha

He was too cold to move to my hand but as soon as i grabbed him he was all snuggly. Love the game of thrones reference.

our power went out for a few hours from the winter storms and i walked into my snake room and each of my cats had gotten on top of the snake tubs and laid on them as if to try and keep them warm... it was sweet. We took them down and they got right back up as if on a mission!

I bet the tubs were the warmest parts in the house the cats were warming them selves up just so happens in the process keeping the heat in the tubs

Lol that's cute. I've really only had one escape and he was one shelf down hanging out by the flexwatt

Oh, and the escape was totally my fault, left the tub wide open...

I wish i left it open he managed to escape through a small hole for my misting system hoses. I think i heard him escape too but just thought it was the house making noises at night
