    first DIY rack!
This is our first attempt at a rack and it appears to be working wonderfully!
has 4 32 qt tubs, 6 in heat tap in the back, thermostat keeping temps at 93 and oil heated space heater keeping room temps at a bout 78. love this set up! So easy to clease and access snakes!!!
was very easy to build and we had all pieces cut at Home Depot, only cost about $45 for wood, $35 for heat tape and $30 for tubs.

    first DIY rack!
Ya it was super easy, there are already things I would change if I make another one but for now it works and everyone is happy, eating, shedding, and in the best care I can provide!

This is us putting it together. It is upside down in this pic and we are using the bins and a magazine to measure for the next shelf. Soooo easy.

    Yes and ........................
Its not very water resistant and I would seal the hell out of it due to the glues to make it.
I use mdf and keep the lids on the tubs so they are no contact but its a pain to clean and feed.

I meant no disrespect Salem, I just never heard of anyone using this material before and didn't know how safe it was.

what did you use to seal your mdf? what thickness did you use? is it sagging? i am building a rack that will hold 67qt tubs and need something that will not sag

Can you use sanding sealer on the mdf if you wanted to seal it? We spray out cages for the humidity and nervous it will warp the mdf even using lids. Could you post a pic off how your rack looks?

I was worried about the first one too so I wrapped it with contact paper...................... NEVER AGAIN!!!!
You shouldn't have to mist your tubs unless you put too many holes in them, I have made it rain in a tub but its all about hole placement :gj::gj:
