    Python sausage and bull testicle?
This is disgusting, using a python for making sausage and using a bull's testicles as a food item, both gross. Don't get me wrong, I eat steak, pork, eggs, etc. This seems a bit too bizarre. What your thoughts? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YyY5XxwWvUM

I'd try it. I'd love to try dog someday too, specifically chihuahua.

I don't see anything wrong with eating any non-endangered animal.

And "lamb fries" are a western thing, and that's lamb testicles. I mean really.. we eat chicken breasts.... *cough cough*

    Python sausage and bull testicle?
Supposedly, bull testicles are a delicacy. Personally I wouldn't want to try them though.

I'd like to try snake, dog, cats.

    I've tried alligator as well.

This is the third time I've seen someone post about eating python. You only think its strange because you see them as a pet. All over the world different animals that we see as pets are seen as food. I've eaten rattlesnake and would not turn down python.

On the last thread I posted a website that you can buy python meat.

I too would like to try dog. Guinea Pig is on the list as well.

I honestly cannot think of much of any animals I *wouldn't* at least try eating. I've tried rattlesnake, it was tasty. Alligator was too. Frog legs, also tasty. I don't hold out much hope for dog or cat to taste good, but I would definitely try them. Imo horses should be considered a meat animal as well, how taboo eating horse generally is just makes no sense to me, they look tasty!

Re: Python sausage and bull testicle?
I grew up on a ranch. I am not sure if I have eaten bull testicals but I have eaten Calf Fries which are tesicals from the calf, cut up and slices and strips battered and deep fried. Its a huge country thing. I have also eaten rattle snake (kinda chewy), Frog legs (had a strong fishy smell), and dog meat (I believe we had husky but not too positive however it was really sweet meat). So I might try python.

    here is a joke

a french man got a job at a restaurant in a small country town. one day a cowboy walks in and orders calf fries. The French man ask the cowboy what calf fries are and the cowboy said they are testicals from a calf chopped up, battered and deep fried. a couple days later a city guy comes in and orders lamb fries the french man was like what in the world is that. the guy explains they are testicals from a lamb chopped up, battered and deep fried. later that day a kid came in and ordered some french fries... The french man left!!!

What am I being warned for? please tell me what rule I'm breaking now? Your post seems like it could be considered "generally hostile", were I one to take offense more easily.

If someone offered me chihuahua, I would try it. I would try german shepherd too, and I have one of them. I said chihuahua because they aren't as lean. I bet those weiner dogs wouldn't be bad either.

I second coleslaws mention of horses. I don't understand why it's so taboo to eat them either.

EDIT: also, the way you italicized "I" seems to imply that I was given a warning before. Mark didn't give any, remember that's what the issue was. I still don't know what you're warning me for though. I didn't mention anything that could be considered animal abuse, like I apparently have in so many other threads.

I'm having flashbacks Mike. Please stop sharing your opinions and ideas here. This is not the place for your, its for others. Yours just start problems.:D

Although being that chihuahuas were used as food I'm not sure there is a better thread for it. That and the fact the action that was the issue was a kick I don't think there is much of a case in this thread.

I don't really think any dog would taste that great. I think I would need my Tony Chachere's.

I like buffalo burgers. Not very strange but not readily available.

Mike - knock it off. The chihuahua "joke" is played out, and you know exactly what you were doing. You and I have never had any personal conflicts that I am aware of or can remember. Let it go. I'm sorry that this wasn't handled the way that you believe it should have been, and I'm late to the party because of work obligations and working from 6 in the morning until 5 in the afternoon at work, then coming home and firing up my work laptop until 11 pm every day for a month now.

I personally probably would have handled it differently as well, BUT - I stand behind the decision that our staff made to let it stand. In 30 days that infraction will have expired. If it bothers you that much and you can't control yourself and feel the need to blatantly make the same jokes that earned you the infraction, it will be considered disrespect towards staff. Now you are warned.

And I still like you - but I don't like your actions right now. I understand your frustration. But it's done, the infraction ain't going no where (until it expires).

I do admit that in the other thread my jokes, while funny to many, could have been taken as offensive. I already explained that wasn't my original intent. I also agree that mentioning eating chihuahuas in that thread was inappropriate. I'm not making jokes now. This is a thread about eating "exotic" animals and he asked what my thoughts were. I'm just repeating my opinion in the appropriate thread now. I said "dogs (in general)" and then specified chihuahuas. I made no mention of animal abuse, which is what the infraction I got was for, so no robin, i'm not "making the same jokes". I then went even further and said i'd even try german shepherd too and that I have one.

You guys are targeting me when I'm once again, within the rules. This time I'm WELL within the rules because I'm sharing my opinion in the appropriate thread.

Mike - really? You just happened to mention chihuahua and "threw in" german shepard, and that's your defense? You could have just as easily left it as "I'd try dog".

Twice now in threads after your infraction you've made additional posts about eating a chihuahua. I'm not dumb. It was to try to get a rise out of staff, and most likely out of our newest staff members (antagonize them if you will) and to win "cool points" with your friends here. Let it go. I am not out to get you, but I'm not going to play these games. Test it if you must, but the consequences have been spelled out clearly now.

Now - if this is going to turn into another back and forth about it, then I'll go ahead and lock the thread now, with no additional comment.

Honestly with the way animals are raised on factory farms in America, I feel like it would be a lot healthier to eat animals considered more exotic, or better yet raise your own. I would love to breed meat rabbits one day, and possibly California king pigeons, a meat pigeon breed. I for one would rather eat a horse than a pig. I find pigs and pork gross for the most part. I also would vastly prefer to eat an actual chunk of meat rather than ground up like in sausages.

Yup it is. Every fall at the hunting camp we have either bear stew or a bear chili.

Have had the opportunity to try a lot of exotic food in my travels, snake being one of them. I had a snake soup that was pretty tasty, the snake was a bit oily but flavourful and made into a good meal.

I haven't eaten dog or cat (that I know of...;)), but if it were to be served to me I'd give it a try.

I'm surprised at how many people are against eating deer... They're like skinnier, faster cows that kill THOUSANDS of people every year. (Yes i get we do intrude into their habitats) but without hunting, they'd probably go extinct.

Deer is one of my favorites. the only problem is it is very lean and can easily be overcooked. so I can see someone cooking a nice steak into shoe leather on a grill without knowing it. then telling all their friends how terrible and gamey flavored it was lol.

Deer, elk and moose are good if cooked properly. Buffalo is one of my favourites: like a very lean cow.

My great uncle used to raise pigeons for eating, never tried one, but he raised them for years.

Growing up on a ranch, I have had calf testicles before, but never bull testicles. We have recently gotten into raising goats for meat as well. The meat can be very distasteful if butchered incorrectly. Can't go wrong with a good goat curry ;)

Also, I may be wrong, but I believe that horse meat is eaten a lot in Europe. Not far from where I work there is a packing plant devoted specifically for horses, but I believe they export most of the meat.

I love, love, love, deer! My dad used to be a big hunter when I was younger, living in West Virginia really helped out with white-tail deer running around and even more so since I live basically in the middle of nowhere and I'm surrounded by woods. Deer are always in the yard at this barn down the road along with turkeys. Yum. :)

So far everything listed sounds better than a hot dog, even Duck Blood sour soup (a group of words I never thought I'd see). :D

I like gator and rattlesnake so I imagine a big old Burmese or Retic steak would be awesome. I just don't see the smaller snakes as practical food animals.

I've had gator a bunch of times (I live in FL), and rattlesnake once. Both seem to be good if cooked right. I also like deer, elk, rabbit, and buffalo. For a while we had pet geese, and I ate their eggs all the time. I liked them better than chicken eggs.
