ovulation? i hope so..

She hasn't eaten since mid-March... does this look like she could be ovulating? We are new to this so any help would be appreciated!!

A picture taken from directly above her...looking down on her would be helpful. That swelling is usually ovulation or building.

Word of advice... during ovulation.. I wont recommend letting her hang like that ....

Patience.. That's what it's all about. If she ovulated you would definitely be able to tell. I wouldn't advise hanging her like that also as the comment above mine stated. Just let her be and hopefully in 14-17 you get a pre-lay shed. Then you can take it from there..... Which is more waiting... Ha


This was an ovulation we got about a week ago... Without hanging her you are definitely able to tell.. She has been off food for about 3 weeks now. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/05/08/bagehapa.jpg

can i ask tho, why not let her hang? I've seen tons of pics like that from breeding sites showing ovulation... just wondering..:confusd:

Sure looks like an ovy to me.

Tail is sucked, so I would say ovy also!

They swell up for a while before the ovy. The thing I noticed really lets you know when it's happening is the tail suck. You'll know it when you see it. Basically the 6 inches from the end of the tail will look deflated like the snake is really emaciated.

I can't see the pic bc my work computer blocks the hosting site, but if that's what you see then it's an ovy.

Late last night or early this morning she shed.. so thats 14-15 days later... good sign?? :gj:
