I used to be an art student at a school that had a very prevalent art program and no matter what, I could have been working on a painting right in front of the person, I'd always get the question from my peers/family "Did you draw that???"
Drives me up a wall every time.

Mine is not really a pet peeve - its much more of a quirk. I am obsessive compulsive at times - all the light switches in my house have to be flipped the same way. For example, we have switches at the top and bottom of our stairway. Down is off and up is on. If I turn the light on downstairs, I can't flip the switch UP at the top of the stairs to turn the light off, I have to go down the stairs to flip the switch down to turn it off.................. :D

I hate when people say the word "soon" to refer to when they will be at a certain place. I'm a very timely person. If people are coming over to my house and say "be there soon" it drives me crazy!!!!!! It could be 5 minutes, it could be 2 hours before they show up! Give me a time!!!!

I'm the same way! I have timed myself walking everywhere on campus and to major landmarks near my house so that I can give an exact answer when someone asks me :rolleye2: I can't staaand it when we say we're meeting at 10, and they just stroll in at 10:07 like it ain't no thang.

This! and when someone parks in the middle of two parking spaces because for some reason they think they are special.... I watched a lady back up and try again 3 freaking times just to make sure she was in the middle of 2 parking spaces.... after she went in the store I surrounded her car with shopping carts :D

OK, on a serious note - people who don't know the difference between your and you're, there and their, or its and it's. But, my biggest pet peeve is the over use of the word 'myself', when you should use the word 'me'. For some reason, "myself" is way overused and misused.

    Pet peeves
    1. When someone post a threadt and 10 minutes later no one responds and they keep writing "hello?" "Anyone halp?" "PLZ HALP" it's like come on we cant all respond in 2 seconds OK.

    2. Poorly written texr walls: hi i hav a snak an he neds help. I fed it 3 meals lolz but I tink his sick. Does youre snak do dis? Thnx 4 da help rly apprciate it.
It bothers the living hell out of me. I'm not picky about grammar and such because I'm terrible at it myself. But at least try to write like a decently educated being.

    3. All caps. HI EVERYONE I AM NEW HERE. HERES MY SNAKE I LOVE HIM VERY MUCH. All hell breaks loose when number 2 and three are combined. Luckily I haven't seen a trifecta of these peeves. Augh.

    Quirks:
I wash my hands a lot. Maybe 25 times a day on a good day. Up to 50 or 70 on a bad day.

Excuse spelling errors. My phone is too big for my little hands :(

When someone makes a show of killing spiders in front of me, when they know I love them. Seriously, just tell me and I'll move it, don't go "oh look Angel a spider" and them make a big show of squishing it.

Another one is when people argue with me over weather reptiles grow to their enclosure, keeping your bearded dragon in a 10g tank will not keep him small forever.

I'm also pretty OCD, but there are too many things to do with that to list.

I eat soup right out of the can.
I store my toothbrush outside of the bathroom, in a plastic case. (Darned Mythbusters)
I have to wash my hands after petting a dog.
I have to see both sides of every story, seems like.

While the mall itself should be a pet peeve, sometimes it is the place for particular needs like eyeglasses. It's the idiots at the mall I can't stand. Mallwalkers! I don't mean people who walk for exercise, I mean the snail paced hypnotic-tranced sheeple who seem to have all day to walk from point a to point b, get stuff and get out.

When people walk too slow in front of you and/or inexplicably do a 180 or stop dead in front of you. Also people/groups who do this in a narrow hallway or any place where you can't get by them.

Even better when they get angry at YOU for crashing into them when they do it. :/

I was an art student too, I know this feels. "No it's my magic pencil that did it. It's just controlling my hand."

Also when people who make no effort to talk to you otherwise see you draw and go "ohemgee can you draw me something?!" Happened a lot in high school. I was like "OH HEY DIDN'T KNOW WE WERE BFF'S NOW."

When people pick off my plate!

Try it and get stabbed with a fork or spoon, whichever happens to be in my hand at the time and hope I'm not eating a steak. Let me eat what I want, and after tear it up.

Don't know why, but that bugs the hell out of me.

Stupid people.. Big believer in stupid questions deserve stupid answers. I understand you don't learn without asking questions, so I have wiggle room.

Oh jeeze, I have so many weird quirks I can't even think of any at the moment, my sense of humor could probably be considered a quirk... I think it might be broken. I'm pretty OCD too, about weird things like light switches and cleanliness. I *hate* shaking hands, it just feels gross and unsanitary.

Haha! I know she has something planned because thats how she plans her grocery shopping. She will write out a list of meals she wants and plan out what day to have it and then go and do the shopping. I asked her what she had planned for tonight and got an answer I liked. Steak fajitas! Nom nom nom! And some quality gourmet rats for the snakes!

Another thing that peeves me is when a rat gets out and I am chasing it back and forth from one side of the rack (running back and forth underneath the rack) to the other for 20 minutes before I am able to corner it and snatch it up. Drives me crazy!

Ugh yea, those are the worst, or sweaty/ clammy handed ones. I always make sure I shake firmly, not like I'm trying to crush their hand, but firmly. Limp handshakes are like announcing that you're a wussyface.

One quirk...I say sorry a lot. So much that it's affecting how I come off in the workplace.

Pet peeve? It's one thing if someone always tries to one up you. But it is so annoying when someone always tries to one down you.

Me: Oh man. Today's commute was bad. A passenger got sick on the subway so we were stuck for an extra 15 minutes.
Guy: Yeah thats still not as bad as my 2 hour commute one way.

SAME guy: Man this long distance relationship is killing me.
Me: It's tough but it's worth it. My boyfriend and I were long distance when I was in Boston for 5 years.
Guy: Yeah but my girlfriend is farther. I only see her every few months
Me: Uh... my brother and sister and law were super long distance. Philippines and US. You can do it dude. You can make it work. They saw each other once or twice a year.
Guy: How long did he go for?
Me: A month at time maybe?
Guy: Yeah it's not as bad as me. I only see my girlfriend for a few days at a time.

THE SAME GUY: What's the matter you seem down today?
Me: Ehh. Not good news. My sister is not doing well.
    Guy: You can tell me.
Me: Idk. Just worried about her. They found a mass... haven't received biopsy results yet.
Guy: Oh I'm so sorry. I know how you feel. My dad died of stage 4 cancer... last year.
    Me: *about to cry hysterically*

    ---edit---

On the topic of hand shakes. I can not stand when a man gives me the limp fish handshake. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the fact that they don't try to break my fingers, but I definitely try to break their hand when they pull that.

Popsicle sticks, the wooden ones when you get to the end and you have to touch the wooden stick with your lips or tongue. That gives me goosebumps and makes me want to gag. It is just the texture of the wood. Yuck.

When my husband lets his mustache grow out to the point that it curls over his lips and he can put it in his mouth. Instant gag.

That's how I am with anything cottony, like a shirt or a cloth napkin touching my tongue. I'm gagging right now just thinking about it ugh.

Ooh another: I HATE it when anyone scrapes a fork through their teeth, gives me goosebumps. And I am completely disgusted by teeth that have been removed or fallen out, like the teeth themselves. My mom once tried to show me my old baby teeth she kept, it repulsed me.
