13 grams! Wow, that is small. I've had one at 29 grams, but not that small. Let us know how it does.

It could be just me or a weird camera angle/lighting issue, but it looks like its body has a lump in it about halfway through. Can we get a pic of it by itself? Sure is pretty all things considered

I think that's what they call "yolk belly" From the large amount of yolk they absorb prior to crawling out of the egg?

Please correct me if I'm wrong, as I am still learning :)

Had 15 and 16 gram twins hatch this year, and as long as yolk all processes just start with very small pinks. keep us posted on how everything goes.

Wow, it's tiny! So cute. Really great odds morph wise. Pinks or crawler mice? Whatever looks closest to its size.

hatched a 23 gram twin this year. give the hatchling a chance for feeding on its own. like others said, start with a correct size pinky. keep a watch on it and don't wait as long as a larger hatchling that won't feed. they can go down hill fast. the 23 gram twin I hatched this year. I had to assist feed 3 times and then he ate on his own. he's doing great and doesn't miss a meal. good luck and keep us posted. don

Thanks for the tips and support.Belly is gradually shrinking so I'm sure that's not a worry.Suspect it'll be a while before he/she sheds so probably delay any feeding attempts until after that.Hopefully not too much weight loss meantime(12g tonight:O)Recent clutch(all about 75g) from same caramel sire and a large normal female were really slow to establish feeding .Hope it's not a heritable trait from dad's side!

I had hatchlings miss their first shed. and average size hatchlings that also missed it. don't use the first shed as a sign when to start feeding. go by time and the condition of the hatchling. I've assist fed many and I try and let them eat on their own. you never want to panic and jump the gun, as it's very stressful on them. but with hatchlings that are so tiny, it's different, they usually need help much sooner if the don't start by themself. good luck and keep us posted, don
